I'm a lazy bastard, besides reading this book that fails to gain my interest I have other shit to do. Thankfully I can always count of Youtube users to help me pass my pointless English class.
"Run. Run, Simba. Run away, and never return"!!! Haha!! Yeah, I think I am gonna buy the book & hopefully not have Jeremy Iron's voice over in my head cause that shit's just annoying!!
why do you pretend to make a god or your god inseparable with anything you believe? it is just the nature of the need to human beings to accept something as true as long as it agrees with one beliefs. however, if you really read the book, even knowing how graceful paolo coehlo is for god's power. this book does not mention anything regarding a god but mostly what some people call it luck, destiny or perseverance. avoiding giving you a spoil, just understand what you guys read
So you are the authority on what is and is not blasphemy? If God is all things, then we are also god. God is separate from his creation? Is the artist separate from his paintings? The illusion would tell us it is. But all things are made of the same "stuff". We are 99% empty space. So is a rock. So is a tree. we humans ARE in control due to free will, which is god given. I recommend Conversations with God by Neale Donald Walsch. You could stand to learn a lot.
@MegaHandy69 The concept portrayed is basically pantheism, that all things are God and that God is one with his creation. That is blasphemy since God is separate from his creation and will share his glory with nothing. It also portrays God as the universalists do, that all roads can lead to him, that he does not demand a particular thing, but really we humans are in control.
@GodLovesUs100 Thanks for your explanation. However, not everyone believes the same things. I believe in God and really enjoyed this book and didn't feel it was blasphemous at all. A story is but a story, and that's it. Unfortunately, that's what happens when ANY book is taken literally (this includes the Bible).
@MegaHandy69 You're welcome.I understand people believe differently, but with all do respect, believing something does not make it true.If we rely on our opinions and what we think God to be like, then we will argue in circles all day long and none of us will be right. We have to rely upon his own revelation of himself. This isn't just a matter of opinion, if God really is who he says he is, then EVERYTHING depends upon it.It's a life or death situation and definetely worth looking into
@GodLovesUs100 ...Oh Sweetie but that isn't the truth. God is one with his creation. The only seperation happend when man seperated himself from God by committing the first sin. God himself said in Psalms...that ye are Gods because I said ye are Gods. We breathe God's breath...is that not one? The Bible says he will never leave us nor forsake us...that means he himself is never seperate from us. And no...God does not demand anything at all from us. God is far from demanding.
@GodLovesUs100 ...and yes we human's are in control of our environment which is earth as God himself gave us authority to rule over everything that is on earth. To say we are not in control is a contradiction of having free will. That is how we as Christians are oppressed in our minds for believing things that we won't ask God to help us understand. To say humans are not in control is blasphemus against God's very words in Genesis that he gave us control over everything.
@TheBrandiva God will never leave believers amen bc that verse was given in context to those who trust in God.If we repent and trust in Jesus, we no longer will be separated.Yes, Adam was given the command to subdue, but that does not mean control over the universe, God alone is Sovereign
We are not one as in being equal to God...God is always God and will always be God. However, God has given us power and authority to do everything he does which is to create our living the way he created the world. In Isaiah God says that his words go out and make the things happen that he wants to happen and they will not return to him void. We seperated ourselves, but we were reconciled with the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. So no we are not seperate from God.
We are children of God. Our father has more riches and glory than we can imagine so why would he leave us down here to be helpless slavelike beings that he created? We as Christians need to open our minds just as we have opened our hearts to receiving God and ask him to reveal his word to us or we will forever be oppressed in this world not living in the abundant life God created for us. God says in Jeremiah that I have plans to prosper you not to harm you......
Oppression is harm...we can't bless and help our the world if unless we have abundance....and unless we have Godlikeness in us. We are the salt of the earth and these are all things that God has told us himself. But, until we believe that we are more than the medocrity that the world wants us to believe we are...then we'll still be an abomination to our creator not living the way God created us to live. This is the way God broke it down for me...I will share it with you.......
God told me to think of myself as the Queen, or President of my country (the USA). He said "now what if you gave Texas to your son and told him to go there and be fruitful, and rule over Texas, but when he got to Texas he began to fit in with the Texan's and they started ruleing over him and telling him how to live and what to do until Texas was a mess." God asked how would I feel... I responded that I would be embarassed. God said "now you see how I feel about my children on earth."
So no we are not seperate from God, and yes...we have God's authority to do as he does, but through reconcilation via Jesus Christ. Jesus is the difference between us and the world. We accept Jesus so that we will live in our "oneness" or "likeness" with God again. So I'mma go ahead and read this book now. Spread love...and enjoy creating your living. :)
@TheBrandiva what is saying to be is new age mysticism but its not the true gospel Jesus preached . Our sins do separate us from God, and if not repented of, will lead to hell bc we have broken Gods law. Jesus came so that we could be cleansed, forgiven, and have a relationship with the Father, who is an actual being.Only by repenting and believing in Jesus can we find life.We must be born again or we will never see the kingdom
@GodLovesUs100 ....The true Gospel that Jesus preached is to renew your mind from the worlds way of thinking in order to live life more abundantly with God through reconciliation of the blood of Jesus. There is no mysticism in that. Its clearly spoken and laid out plainly in the teaching of Jesus which is God's own words. Our sins DID seperate us from God...however, we were set free from that with Jesus. We are no longer bound by sin...we are reconciled to God to live as he created us to live..
@GodLovesUs100 .... There is life after accepting Jesus as our Lord and savior...that is true. I don't disagree with that at all. Yes God is sovereign and he has power and control over everything. There is nothing that can move, live, or breathe, or happen on earth without him. I get what you're saying about God's power and that he is sovereign.
@GodLovesUs100 ...However, God gave us authority to rule on earth. We are created in his image and since he creates with his thoughts and speaking with his words, then, why can't we do that? That only requires us to operate the way we were created. God said we are God's...I didn't say that. Those are God's words. Anything against his words is blasphemy. I'm sure that if God did not mean for us to choose what we want...he wouldn't have given us free will...which is "power to choose".
@GodLovesUs100 ....I am saved by the grace of God...covered with the blood of Jesus....filled with the holyghost....and I intend to live as God created me to live to show the world that God is real, God is love, and he doesn't want us to live junky, dull, boring, depressed, dark, and negative lives. "He wants us to live abundantly as he says I come to give you life and that you will have it more abundantly." "I have plans to prosper you and give you a good future...not to harm you."...
@GodLovesUs100 ... We all have the power to choose what we want...and that is the same TRUTH Jesus Christ of Nazareth our lord and savior taught. The teachings in this book belong to God...the world is just covering it up with "The Universe" because ppl fear believing in God. But, I bet everyone of that does not believe will read this book and apply it ...and it will work even if they don't believe in God. Why? Because its God's words...and they never return to him void.
@GodLovesUs100 ...Our job is to show the world that all of this goodness...all of this good stuff that they're learing....Belongs to God...It is God's teachings...It is God's gift to us. Our job is to give glory and honor where it is due and to show the world how to do the same thing. What univers? It's all God. <3
@TheBrandiva Well yes we are reconciled to God indeed, I agreed with your first part completely. But the reason I called what you're saying mysticism is not because I believe we are to live boring and depressed lives, we certainly do live abundantly in the power of the Spirit, but keep in mind that it is the Spirit of Christ living through us, and he will not lead God's children into any heresy or false teaching that points away from the truth of the Living God.
@TheBrandiva God dammit.. God is a mere concept with a title decidedly given by Judeo-Christian sheep. If you look beyond ancient stolen mystic fables you'll see that there is no afterlife to fear after or atone/live correctly for. God was created because we didn't understand our inner psyche.. before microscopes for Chrssakes.. It's people like you who hinder progress
@GodLovesUs100 I Think you read the book but refused to read the book with an open mind. i am a christian too and it would be wrong to say it is so blasphemous and horrible . these are very harsh words to use on such a fantastic book. try connecting with the Paulo and his book.
@tinkabell339 Discernment is an important thing, I didn't really know what the book was about, I got the concept of the book, but it is a universalist concept that portrays God in a way he is not.You said you're a Christian. Can you possibly love the very thing that nailed Jesus to a tree?(that is, sin), believing lies about God is a sin and is blasphmeny, we cannot afford to be wrong about something so important
@GodLovesUs100 If u did not know what the book was about, try reading the book again and connecting with its ideas. in your own views, can u possibly provide in details what lies the book spoke about God. and who is God?, do we know him fully?
@tinkabell339 no i meant i didn't know what it was about BEFORE i began reading. I basically understood what it was saying, it's the same old universalist concept of all is one and one is all. God has reevealed himself in his word,we ought not to rely on our own opinions to determine who God is, but simply submit to the truth he has graciously revealed.
I recently made a page on this book, mainly because its my favourite!
And I also earn money from it!
