The Context: Peru is due to held elections next week (June 5th)

There is widespread suspition over mining activities in Peru, because most of the revenue is directed to government (regional or national).

If all revenue were given to the owners of the land, things woud be different. But then, how on earth would the Gov. could afford to pay for the Secod Generation Rights all of you leftitsts love so much?

The owners of the land are the peasants, there was an Agrarian Reform circa 1968.

Mining companies should deal directly with them to buy up their land or pay a compensation for the right to extract mineral out of their land.
