I know it's kind of frustrating to have them split up, but CC might be doing this to help with appealing to a mass audience. If they are indeed split up, then M and S need to "re-find" each other, and that could be a developing romance which an audience member, unfamiliar with the series, might better be able to relate to. Personally, I would kind of like to see them "re-find" each other. It creates the tension that GA and DD are so good at.

you're right. even though that it's probably not what x files fans everywhere wanted to see, it'll probably make for a wayyyy more interesting story line. everybody who is talking smack about chris carter is ignorant because carter has given us good things before, and i think we can expect even greater things from him and the rest of the writers in this movie. and you're so right about the tension gillian and david have. it'll be very exciting to see them at it again.

Oh come fucking on. I had to sit here and have five fucking beers and watch two or three episodes of season two of this fucking show just so that I can have my fill until it comes out (I only have season two which sucks major ass; oh well I'll just watch Sci-Fi for the rest). Unless you can't tell, I'm being sarcastic here. Love the show, loved the movie, will love the second movie too; plus at least it's comming out the day before I go on vacation so I can see it day it comes out.

it has something to do with the movie.. this was a promo clip and is posted on IGN. i have no idea why they are talking about the other like they haven't seen eachother in forever. reminds me of a therapy session but it feels like something else. what the hell is going on. this is not how mulder and scully would have wound up after 6 years. there had better be a good explaination for this.

No, the scene Gillian was talking about is the teaser sequence in "All Things" where Scully is getting dressed in Mulder's bathroom and as she leaves you see Mulder still sleeping, apparently naked. It implies that they spent the night together. ;)
