  • Fuckin' fantastic! I thought I had heard all the tunes by the La De Das, but this tune is new to me! So fuckin' cool!!! :D

  • Great stuff.. wonder if Rose Tattoo like em ha ha

  • 100% right Vulcanlane. They did open for EJ about 1974. I was in 4th form at Aorere College. Great concert, at the time it was the biggest crowd EJ had ever performed to about 33,000.I bought the La De Das album on the strength of this song.

  • I still have it, in good condition play it now and then blow the cobwebs off the walls.............might be persuaded to sell if the offer was good enough. cheers

  • Great Slide.

  • A favourite album, from early teens after hearing this at Western Springs when the three piece opened for Elton John (I think it was) around 74 0r 75. But mainstream Auckland crowd response to good Kiwi support like this and Waves (who had another Kiwi classic album) was disappointing, I think, at the time. Would later pull this out to give the neighbour's a blast on new years day. Any video from this time???

  • why did I trade this in?!

  • That's Angelfood McSpade on the cover. A Robert Crumb creation. He took some flack for drawing her. Racism and all that shit.

  • Australia? New Zealand? From here in America, it's all "Down Under," yet "Tops" at the same time!!!!

  • This dredges deep doodoo from the vaults of time in a most beautiful way. What is it when I still know all the words not having heard this song for 30+ years?

  • The greatest rock and roll song of all time. Borich is the finest guitarist on the planet and his Lonely One album from 77 is the most brilliant Australian album ever made. I love Kevin Borich. Oh and his performance with Santana in '77 at Calder is the finest live performance ever by an Australian or anyone basically. Okay so he's from New Zealand. So what Long live Be Bop Annie and Tokyo Joe and if you want guitar pyrotechnics get Celebration and play Track 8 Side 2. Yeah, remember vinyl man?

  • Great to hear Borich on the slide & vocals.

Saw him open for Status Quo in Melbourne 76 & fell into the express spell ever since.

  • *So New Zealand

  • hi. So New Zealand?????? what ??????????????????

  • I had this album. It'd be 30 years since I've heard it.

  • hehe i love sambo on the front cover. good album. love the song with the whistle at cirtain parts of the song, so australian
