I think the lack of muscles on Gaston makes it funnier. Just cause it seems like their all lying cause if they didn't say he was manly then he'd kill them.

I've seen four hillcrest musicals so far(though I was in the last one so I'm not sure it technically counts).  and I think this was the worst one. it was good, the others were just better. The next three were Suessical, Curtains, and Cinderella. really, don't base your opinion of Hillcrest preformance quality of of this number. I'

All in all another great performance however most of the people commenting are right, gaston does need to be a bit more muscular, however i played Lefou in our production of this and I enjoyed the actor playing him after he began singing however in the beginning he was just a little too over the top which took away from his goofyness which is the key of becoming that character

This was done pretty well- definetly for a highschool production. Loved the drink-clinking part.

The School is in Midvale Utah and almost all of the kids on stage are only in the Concert Choir, many with no acting experience at all. I liked it.

It was edited after it was filmed just so everyone knows. There are clops from two different nights in these clips. "Elkgrovegal", would you go watch the title song from this school and tell me what you think? I would appreciate a comment on the vocals of Potts! :)

The stage is GORGEOUS. I love the drop.

The choreography is really good. I love that you kept the dance break. So many high schools cut the dance break, and the dancing is awesome. Last year, my high school did BATB, and we kept the dance break, and we did mostly the Broadway choreo...with some liberty taken by our choreographer. I agree,the vocals aren't there...Lefou isn't really...Lefou like, and I can't get over that Gaston is probably the smallest guy on stage...

okay heres the deal, im a student at cornish college of the arts in seattle been doing shows all my life, and although i can see the effort put into this show,

1. gaston isn't very good or intimidating or evil

2. alot of your people cant sing that well

3. if your going to steal the broadway version you have to do it better and you didn't

4. there are so many people onstage it looks kinda sloppy.

i aplaud you for your efforts but there is no origniality. sorry

i completely get where your comming from. and don't usually like it when choereography is done EXACTly the same as b-way but really, they have the STAGE and the SCENERY and most of the choreography down pat. just the vocals suck a bit. check out be our guest. yeah a muscial is all about song but everything else (except maybe acting-vocals) is damn good.

I know it's a live show. I meant, was it edited after it was filmed, or was it a live edit? A live edit is when all the cameras are basically hooked up to some machine and then edited as it's being filmed. The director will then tell which camera man to shoot what.
