I'd like to say first that I watch your videos all the time, whether you've posted new ones or not. ha. I think you're just fantastic and I wish more people found the beauty in this. I'm overwhelmed by how many really do seem to enjoy it here on youtube though. Really makes me happy.
I would love to see some of this played on a classical. I'm a sucker for jazz on nylon string. ha. Hopefully soon I'll get around to posting something too.
Mighty impressive Peter, and you can't blame some of the negative comments for people who came looking for a nice comfy version.
Love the voicings, the separation between the voices. I imagine they would be more very interesting on an instrument with more of an acoustic response.
Hey Rohit, my deepest apologies if your awesome, supportive email was accidentally and temporarily flagged as spam! I'm delighted and honored to have captivated your interest and inspired you! I also teach, both live and through skype. I hope you'll be back in touch either away. All the best to you!
@PabloButelman - Thanks so much, Pablo! Really glad you dug the stuff, certainly music I've built over MANY years ( w/heart and soul). The amp is an AER compact 60, although I use an alesis nanoverb. I don't recall if I used my MXR 10 band eq on this, but I use one now...:) Hope jazz in argentina is keeping you busy and happy. Should you be interested, I teach via Skype. My very best to you, thank you again, Peter
Love this interpretation Peter, really great chord colours. If I could take minute of your time then please check out my 2pt Stella étude on my channel.
amazing. simply amazing, i would love to learn how to do that. i would appreciate some help with jazz guitar, mainly the basics. Ive been playing for about 8 months, could someone give me some tips for playing with amazing tone like this? o.o also, help with soloing and chords would be nice. I have a background in music from playing sax for like 5 years in concert band. In 15 btw. Thanks.
@MrThatwentwell - Thanks!!! I do teach via skype (and live) so I'd love to help you. Sounds like you have the background to soak in plenty of knowledge!
@camilovelandiamusic - Thanks SO much! by now you've got them down, I gather? lol! Of course, more to come and please contact me if you are interested in a lesson via skype or live. Enjoy!
@Jake- ha! That would be putting some potent info into some powerful hands! Unfortunately we've got some distance between NYC and Michigan, but I would really love to stay in touch!
Dear friends, just checking in to say a heart felt thanks for watching/listening. Please stay in touch. I'm looking forward to listening to/meeting many great guitarists here. In the meanwhile, check out my latest video on body and soul! all the best!
Dear Friends, Thanks SO much for your continued support of my playing/this new video.
Well, I hope you keep coming back for more. There's certainly plenty more on the way! I know some really great guitar players are sending me their vids. Looking forward to checking those out!!!
Very cool Pete. A beautiful, inventive, very different and intriguing take on a classic. Superb command of the instrument and a deep knowledge of harmony. Keep pushing the boundaries... it's fantastic!!
Peter Mazza posseses & draws from, a seemingly endless well of amazing, deeply musical & harmonically stratospheric, chordal inventions.
He plays with such command & ease, that the musical treatises he is presenting to us flow into one's consciousness like a cool breeze on a blue sky day. This of course is the mark of a deeply disiplined artist, who approaches his formidable natural gifts with the committment & respect they warrant.
AWESOME!!!!!!
