But if you take ANY MGS game, you can play it through dozen of times and not have got everything you can. And im not talking about trophies and stuff like that. Also what i've heard about the rising, its not going to be anywhere near as good story and gameplaywise as MGS4. Also theres no FF's on Xbox. Too bad PS3 misses US-Tales of vesperia which is Xbox exclusive..

I have been playing metal gear solid since it came out on playstation 1… untill now on ps3 with metal gear solid 4 guns of the patriots. It is an originally a playstation game and i think it should always stay on playstation. Why would sony or konami give away best game to xbox and PC?

@Nickprovs the 1987 version of metal gear wasn't made by kojima, kojima bought it from them and has made a brand new version of the game with a new story thats where the PS1 game "Metal Gear Solid" came from. When he finished MGS4 he left the company and a new owner came. He decided to put it on xbox360. Kojima is the companies name, the real kojima left.

Ps3 and 360 both have next gen graphics. If a like Modern Warfare one or 2, or gta4 can run on both consoles why can't mgs 4. Whats even sillier is that now rising is being relesed for both but they could not release mgs4 for 360 simply because they didnt plan too. @khnk222 No, MGS4 was on the PS3 because the game had so much memory Konami had to put it on the Blu-ray disc, which holds 50gb of memory. The disc type that Xbox uses DVD-9, which I think hold only either 8.5gb or 15gb. Konami couldn't even fit all the content they originally hd on to the Blu-ray disc, so they cut off some content. So the PS3 doesn't even have all the content MGS4 promised.
This means most people who played metal gear solid games for ps2 probably bought an xbox 360 eventually to upgrade to a next gen console. ps2 still remained popular for about two years before just about everyone had an xbox 360. By the time ps3 released xbox 360 was a thriving system with large sales numbers and very many games. Ps3 gets mgs4 because of Kojimas connection to sony. So in conclusion mgs4 only came to a sony console kinda like God of War 3s release only on ps3. cont.

Just like the ps2 earlier release in 2000 and later the first micosoft console the xbox which released around two years later in 2002. This basically means that gamers were playing mainly the ps2 with games like mgs solid you did have your xbox and nintendo people but like it or not ps2 was king in games and sales numbers and then in 2005 people were introduced to the xbox 360 the first next gen console with fancy graphics that beat the ps2 while ps3 like the xbox released two years later. cont.
halo kinda sucks compared too metal gear games and most people bought a ps2 because it came out first then the original xbox was released which sold less than ps2 because of its later release. im pretty sure quite a few people who own an xbox 360 also originally owned a ps2 and some still do unless they sold it. ps3 was later released and most people who played ps2 had gotten an xbox 360.

I have both PS3 and 360 and both consoles are good. who cares if xbox get mgs rising. its not gonna take away the fact that metal gear started on playstation and will always be the best on Playstation. Does xbox have MGS4 no and thats the real story Rising is just way to expand it a bit for xbox gamers. dont get me wrong i love the xbox aswell for games like Gears. Halo. And i love the playstation for Metal Gear and uncharted. People stop moaning there both good consoles!

@TheBennysoldier All halos suck on single after you've completed it once with hardest difficulty. It gets boring no matter what. But if you take ANY MGS game, you can play it through dozen of times and not have got everything you can. And im not talking about trophies and stuff like that. Also what i've heard about the rising, its not going to be anywhere near as good story and gameplaywise as MGS4. Also theres no FF's on Xbox. Too bad PS3 misses US-Tales of vesperia which is Xbox exclusive..

ps3 has blu ray for more disc data
ps3 = suitable for single player only
xbox 360 = suitable for both single player and multiplayer

@SuperKushsmoker its more superior in many ways such as the online service is next to none, its has a bigger library of arcade games and exclusive titles. the graphics are alot better due to it more powerfull GPU. its just a matter of time til you see the xbox 360 graphics overtake ps3! sales, xbox 360 is out selling 3 times as much of the ps3 around the world to date. games sell twice as much (multiplats/ex) more paid online users.
ps3 - has better CPU and blu ray - but is not irrelevant.

I have been playing metal gear solid since it came out on playstation 1… untill now on ps3 with metal gear solid 4 guns of the patriots. It is an originally a playstation game and i think it should always stay on playstation. Why would sony or konami give away best game to xbox and PC?
It is an awesome game and should have always stayed on playstation. Microsoft wouldn’t like it if playstation took halo, its there only game.

@Nickprovs the 1987 version of metal gear wasn't made by kojima, kojima bought it from them and has made a brand new version of the game with a new story thats where the PS1 game "Metal Gear Solid" came from. When he finished MGS4 he left the company and a new owner came. He decided to put it on xbox360. Kojima is the companies name, the real kojima left.

Ps3 and 360 both have next gen graphics. If a like Modern Warfare one or 2, or gta4 can run on both consoles why can't mgs 4. Whats even sillier is that now rising is being relesed for both but they could not release mgs4 for 360 simply because they didnt plan too. Since im only 14 i dont see how im gettin a ps3 for 2010 Christmas after last year I barely got 100 dollars worth of games and The Simpsons dvds i dont know how the hell im going to get my middle class family too shell out $300+Gam

@khnk222 No, MGS4 was on the PS3 because the game had so much memory Konami had to put it on the Blu-ray disc, which holds 50gb of memory. The disc type that Xbox uses DVD-9, which I think hold only either 8.5gb or 15gb. Konami couldn't even fit all the content they originally hd on to the Blu-ray disc, so they cut off some content. So the PS3 doesn't even have all the content MGS4 promised.

This means most people who played metal gear solid games for ps2 probably bought an xbox 360 eventually to upgrade to a next gen console. ps2 still remained popular for about two years before just about everyone had an xbox 360. By the time ps3 released xbox 360 was a thriving system with large sales numbers and very many games. Ps3 gets mgs4 because of Kojimas connection to sony. So in conclusion mgs4 only came to a sony console kinda like God of War 3s release only on ps3. cont.

Just like the ps2 earlier release in 2000 and later the first micosoft console the xbox which released around two years later in 2002. This basically means that gamers were playing mainly the ps2 with games like mgs solid you did have your xbox and nintendo people but like it or not ps2 was king in games and sales numbers and then in 2005 people were introduced to the xbox 360 the first next gen console with fancy graphics that beat the ps2 while ps3 like the xbox released two years later. cont.

halo kinda sucks compared too metal gear games and most people bought a ps2 because it came out first then the original xbox was released which sold less than ps2 because of its later release. im pretty sure quite a few people who own an xbox 360 also originally owned a ps2 and some still do unless they sold it. ps3 was later released and most people who played ps2 had gotten an xbox 360.
This is just my guesses from what i remember but xbox360 released in around 2005 then ps3 in 07. cont.
