Tell your girlfriends dad I love this group and music!!! i was born in the middle of the 60's... im trying to keep it alive..... I get looks from people on the street.... cuz the music is mello and has meaning!!!! I have a car stereo in my electric bike!!!! groove on! so far this is my fav song..
Loved the way they'd give you the B side on the front sleeve in those days. B sides were usually brilliant and better than the guff they put on A sides these days.
One of the few Warrington bands to record in the '60's.I remember recording Mally Rabbit at my studio in the early '70's.He was a great guy, when sober !! but the other Mally ,well, that's another story.
Billy Fogg on drums, wot a window cleaner and a great Warrington lad, probably the best local singin' drummer ever, another great pint drinker.
We had a little combo in the '90's,the SPA BROOKIES,Billy, the famous OZZY Osborne and me, Blobby Wufton,Rock on !!!!
It's my girlfriends dad who wrote these songs... his name is John Weston, he is a top bloke. I have heard him play some of these songs on accoustic guitar right infront of me sat in his kitchen. He has also done a solo album called parlour tricks which is most definitely got some of my favourite songs on of all time.
Before the Os Mutantes concert in LA last night (Aug. 28) was this DJ who had some seriously cool 45s. This song was playing when I walked into the venue and I had to walk over and check out what he was playing on the turntable. I love finding stuff like this. It's "Where Have You Been All my Life?" music.
I have always heard of this band but never got to hear them because the 45 is so expensive! these band is amazing!!!!!!! did they record any other songs? do you know where i can get these songs without having to buy the 45? like can i find them on a comp?
Hello, The Fairytale released this and one other single "Guess I Dreaming"/"Run and Hide", that actually was their debut single. All four of these tracks have been compped and reissued many times on Rubble (how i first heard the band) and many other comps. The "Guess I Was Draming" 45 was reissued on the new 7 inch box set called Psychedelic Days Vol. 1.
This has to be one of the rarest and finest singles of all time - long have I searched for it! It was a real treat to hear it here for the first time since the late 1960s.
Any Warringtonians tell me if Mally Babbit [lead vocal] is still ALIVE.? I have some tapes I recorded at my Stockton Heath studios, about 1970 !!!
