How about marching for the legalisation of Marijuana? - lets see how many third world nations we can lift out of debt to the IMF/WORLD BANK before 2050 with the tax benefits from its sale across the civilised world.
i'm happy that some UK ppl have woke up & seen what is happing in this world...but a protest like this has done nothing to change things, the ppl in power/governments are laughing at them...you need to do much more not to walk the streets with banners, try burning down government buildings ect ect to show these ppl in power/governments that you mean Business, there are more of us than them we can win, but also there is so so many stupid ppl in these gov run Matrix who r a sleep to every thing.
Guess who fits the bill for the damage to government building?............yes the ppl do
After you burn down the government buildings down does it change anything?........no
I totally disagree with this march as the country finances are in a mess and ppl think spending is the answer but it's not there has to be cuts like it or not
@private - That's not the debate here, the champagne socialists of the labour party would've made cuts aswel - probably more - their nanny state was a complete failure - but let's have it right, ever since the decline of unions British jobs have been sent overseas - so we get cheaper (shitty) products as toff Eton educated Government millionaire politicians aim to hit inflation targets - our jobs become more scarce & more insecure. Job quality has been ERODED since the dissolution of unions.
Well it's the ppl fault for voting the tories, they are the party for the rich and they will always will be.
I am so sick of ppl always blaming the Lib Dems, they are not the only ones in .power
I know the Lib Dems promised certain things but they couldn't deliever some because they had to compromise, if they hadn't we would have had another general election.
@privatecaboose250 - It's too far gone now, the model this nation followed for the past 30 years has made Britain THE financial capital of the world - it's our core strength, if we attack that now with high taxes they'll jump ship and go abroad to run the casino game elsewhere - a solution? Not a solution but perhaps back in the 1980's when the miners were striking, instead of dissolving union influence we could have taken lessons from the German social market economic model.
despite what people might think, the crowd isnt really that socialist. the communists just hand out banners at these things free so people pick um up to piss off the government.
Very impressive! I'm thinking civil disobedience and general strike might be in order though. It's getting late in the game for the US. We may not make it.
THE WORLD IS PROTESTING ABOUT THE SAME 'elitest' HAPPENINGS..!
WHY..? We are ALL feeling the crushing pressure of The 'CENTRAL WORLD BANK', (directed by The Bank of England / The crown / The Pope) as they strong-arm 'the masses' via economic /judicial means for "more control & power" reasons.
THE ONLY WAY the present system can continue it's 'elitist' direction, is for the Police / Army to tighten down (controlling the civil unrest /TERRORIST),
I love the British charm, BUT it all reminds me of the complacent jews in Poland
as the nazi 'leaders ordered the tightening of the screws & the 'police obeyed because they thought it correct ,,,& people began to disappear ... ones, twos, threes, then families, then groups ...then thousands ended up in work camps & ordered to give up ALL their freedoms under the threat of punishment or worse. Why do you think governments are forcing this shameful, crushing economic pressure on their people..?
@PETEtheTRAINER in your words "...governments are forcing this shameful, crushing economic pressure on their people..." because 'governments' across the globe dare not stand up to the 'banks' which caused the economic meltdown. I say, call the bank's bluff and tell them to s*d off. It's OUR money they manipulate for their own ends. LET'S RUN ON BANKS WHOLESALE & WITHDRAW OUR ASSETS FROM THEM!
The TUC march for an 'alternative' and for 'fairness' was exceptional in attendance with supporters from all over the country. And, so moving in noting the sheer variety of people young and old, families with toddlers, disabled in wheel chairs or with walking stick. I marveled at all shapes and size particularly those, perhaps, rather too portly to manage an arduous route, were impelled by the rightness of the cause and with self-discipline to join the joyous throng. (continued)
What a throng crowded into Hyde Park to picnic to rest, to meet old friends and to be enraptured by rousing speeches. And how appropriate a Northern brass band (it seemed to me) epitomised a staged interlude with that particular musical tradition in trumpet, trombone and triumphant sounding cymbal. (continued)
I was so impressed with Union Leaders passionately encouraging in accents that you just knew originated from Britain's true heart. And still a never ending stream with colourful banners came marchers and campaigners for 'fairness' hour after hour with such positive vibes, vuvuzalers, whistles, chants and determined demeanour all knowing that the march had to send out its alternative message to a discredited Tory led coalition government.
I left home at 4-30am to attend yesterdays march,I arrived back home in the early hours of this morning.
These rioters are the scum of the earth they really are.
What right have they to spoil such a fantastic day for thousands upon thousands of people who wanted their voices heard.
You,ve allowed this Goverment to get off lightly,we did this to stop the cuts to everyone,we wanted our voices heard and you lot took that away from us.
@Bernardine100 These "scum of the earth rioters" as you call them will be remembered long after that pointless TUC march. Why do you think the government approve of "peaceful" protest? Because it changes nothing thats why.
Who the hell wants to remember those scum???????????
That is a complete arse wipe for all the "decent" people who took the time to travel to London to let the Goverment know we will not tolerate their demands.
The rioters are complete and utter scum who used that day to ruin it for many people, what did they gain???they gained nothing.
@Bernardine100 So, all those "decent" people travelled to London to let the government know they will not tolerate their demands did they? So whats planned next by these recreational protesters? Another enjoyable day out in London waving banners and blowing whistles? if you think Cameron and his cabal of unelected idealogues took any notice of that "Peaceful Protest" you are seriously deluded.
@Bernardine100 At the risk of repeating myself I'll say again: Peaceful protest plays into the governments hands. Why do you think they approve of it? I'm not knocking you peaceful protesters I'm pointing out that the whole thing will achieve nothing. You have to hit them where it hurts and thats in their pockets. Civil disobedience and a series of general strikes may make a difference.
And rioters also play into the goverments hands, they laid it on a plate for the goverment,,gee thanks lads.
General strikes yes I would agree with, civiil disobedience??? how the hell can that help our cause?????on Saturday was enough proof that civil disobedience is a pathetic stance to take.
The scum dont give a toss about Goverment cuts, they just wanted any excuse to behave like feral idiots.
@sail1948 - @'civil disobedience' - pah! The MoD wrote reports back in 2006 about 50 years of civil disobedience & even flash mob rioting (remember the riots last month?) - how is one to strike when we have an economy that is comprised of a circa 80% service sector? Totally divided and conquered - women in the workplace were far to stupid and gullible to prevent the Orwellian & shitty working conditions/pay they endure today - Marx wasn't describing a feminised service sector in Das Kapital.

and as long as we destroy our planet by consuming senseless things -
there has to be protest.
