i'm happy that some UK ppl have woke up & seen what is happing in this world...but a protest like this has done nothing to change things, the ppl in power/governments are laughing at them...you need to do much more not to walk the streets with banners, try burning down government buildings ect ect to show these ppl in power/governments that you mean Business, there are more of us than them we can win, but also there is so so many stupid ppl in these gov run Matrix who r a sleep to every thing.

@privatecaboose250 - It's too far gone now, the model this nation followed for the past 30 years has made Britain THE financial capital of the world - it's our core strength, if we attack that now with high taxes they'll jump ship and go abroad to run the casino game elsewhere - a solution? Not a solution but perhaps back in the 1980's when the miners were striking, instead of dissolving union influence we could have taken lessons from the German social market economic model.

The TUC march for an 'alternative' and for 'fairness' was exceptional in attendance with supporters from all over the country. And, so moving in noting the sheer variety of people young and old, families with toddlers, disabled in wheel chairs or with walking stick. I marveled at all shapes and size particularly those, perhaps, rather too portly to manage an arduous route, were impelled by the rightness of the cause and with self-discipline to join the joyous throng. I was so impressed with Union Leaders passionately encouraging in accents that you just knew originated from Britain's true heart. And still a never ending stream with colourful banners came marchers and campaigners for 'fairness' hour after hour with such positive vibes, vuvuzalers, whistles, chants and determined demeanour all knowing that the march had to send out its alternative message to a discredited Tory led coalition government.

I left home at 4-30am to attend yesterdays march,I arrived back home in the early hours of this morning.

These rioters are the scum of the earth they really are.

What right have they to spoil such a fantastic day for thousands upon thousands of people who wanted their voices heard.

You,ve allowed this Goverment to get off lightly,we did this to stop the cuts to everyone,we wanted our voices heard and you lot took that away from us.

I'm not knocking you peaceful protesters I'm pointing out that the whole thing will achieve nothing. You have to hit them where it hurts and thats in their pockets. Civil disobedience and a series of general strikes may make a difference.
