people who say joy division are overrated should consider hearing tracks other than shes lost control, and read up about the background of the band. they were only together for around 2 years and look at the art they created. proberly the most meloncholy/artsy band out there. from ians song writing to stephens hypnotic drum beats and i dont think we will have another joy division
" ive got the spirit lose the feeling, let it out some how"
Ian was transmitting or channeling the explanation of German frustration "Not going to take it anymore feelings" explaining the epilepsy of the German condition under financial controlled manipulation, driven insane to the point of committing genocide.
Their music was certainly grounding breaking though and the sound and lyrics reflected the desperate times of the late seventies and early eighties in Manny together with the demons that raged in Curtis's head. Their fans could relate to that and we turned up to try and escape those times for a few hours, ironically, by listening to a band that reflected them.
'A Science fiction interpretation of Manchester'...'an ambient band'. Why do they insist on interviewing f--kwits for these documentries. And don't reply and say because they were there. Morley's always been a prentious tosser. The people who turned up at the gigs were just working class kids and certainly didn't view Joy Division as some sort of deep meaningful art form.

Definition of Joy Division:
Ian was transmitting or channeling the explanation of German frustration "Not going to take it anymore feelings" explaining the epilepsy of the German condition under financial controlled manipulation, driven insane to the point of committing genocide.

guilt is a bitch!
he was torn between family or fame, felt he was keeping the rest of the band from becoming huge!
if he only knew!
