Great version, perhaps the best one... this song was written to have a slightly melancholy tone to it - Chris' voice is suited perfectly fine for it...
This is played in the key of 'G' instead of the usual 'E' when squeeze play it, hence the slightly different sound. I didn't like this take on it all to be honest. His voice is much too low.
@nobrakesukspeedway Give the man some credit-he's up on stage and you're not.His lower vocals were a fine counterpoint harmony-wise to Glenn's lead vocals.
@deweypug Oh damn, I just left a comment in reply to something someone said, and used your exact wording without looking-"counterpoint",how funny is that?

Nice version! Chris Difford's incredible voice was a perfect counter-point to Glen Tilbrook - In my humble opinion, a huge part of their sound.

Difford really makes his own personal version of the song but it sounds very unique.
Really glad to hear and see that video.

Those Squeeze songs really need Glenn Tilbrook's very recognizable voice.

Jay Ferguson of SLOAN says this in one of the best pop songs ever. I might like to learn it on guitar.
