  • My son would love this. He often makes Miso Soup as a reason to eat the kombu LOL.

  • @KeeperOfTheGood That's interesting!

  • Isn't kelp high in iodine?

  • @ChaosButterfly8 Seem like it. Is it good or bad? We eat a lot of kelp in Japan.

  • @ezjapanesecooking "According to WHO, in 2007, nearly 2 billion individuals had insufficient iodine intake, a third being of school age. ... Thus iodine deficiency, as the single greatest preventable cause of mental retardation, is an important public-health problem." - Wikipedia

  • @ChaosButterfly8 Kelp and other seaweeds are considered very healthy food in Japan.

  • @ezjapanesecooking Is this recipe high in salt? Because from what I know konbu, with anchovies and soy sauce are high in salt? Please and thank you in advance for taking you time to read and answer this question.

  • @3459012 You got to adjust saltiness for yourself. If you want to eat it with white rice, it's better to have it saltier. Dried anchovy (niboshi) isn't salty like Italian anchovy. Kelp isn't salty at all by itself either.
