  • Tomorrow in Poland, member of parlament will vote on a mation about national parks. If members to approve a mation, Białowieża forest will be save, because local government wont could block a blow up national park. Greetings from the Bug riverside!

  • This is really ironic. People who cut all theirs forests will help us to protect ours.

    "OUR COMMON RESPONSIBILITY" " :)

  • This forest was reaching once Spain... where it is? WHERE? Poland was the first country to protect wildlife and plants - in ~1492 King Jogaila took under protection Cis trees.

This forest lasts thanks to Poland, we know how to protect it and it should be protected in 100%. But fook of with "our european heritage"... darn west barbarians! Protect your "ancient" forests. We will protect our!

  • @Guruma In 1492 was dead a long time.

  • @Czetwertynski :P Checked the year in source... The year was 1423. But there was sign "~" which means +-70 years j/k ;P

  • @Guruma OK. The first act of protection the nature was signed by Casimir II the Just (under protection was Elk)

  • I was astounded to find out that this is the last remaining forest of which many once covered much of Europe. The Bizlowieza National Park makes up approximately 10% of the entire forest and is the oldest national park in Poland. It would be a real shame to see this fragment of the previously existing beauty were to disappear forever.

  • IT's terrible not to save at least 60% of such an ancient forrest cause the worlds forrests are so beautiful . Just like in the US they've cut down so much of the ancient redwood forrest where the worlds tallest trees create a true wonderland. That's why Julia Butterfly lived high in a tree for 3 full years without coming down.

  • TheMarianowi- so what?

  • Nothing. Just to clarify.

  • there isn't that bad: the border crossing point is for bicycles and pedestrians only.

  • National Park is not a magic solution for Bialowieza Forest. Parts of forest managed by Polish Forestry are in much better state than fully protected part. Leave Bialowieza in hands of profesionals who know few things about the Forest.

  • taaaaa, lepszym bo młodsze drzewa rosną? bandyci nie leśnicy

  • Iam so sad about this.

Have you tried to ask WWF greenpeace, IUCN any other international foundation help?

  • Thanks for the clip.

Is this video available in other languages like in polish language?

  • yes, i will try to add the polish version in the next days, asap i'm back in France :)

  • That would be great! merci beaucoup
