  • Its funny to me because in TKD class I have a hard time trying to yell. Being a boxer and muy Thai boxer I did not yell I just hit the dam person. I'm I want the person to feel me not hear what I'm doing. Well its all good I'm dissing TKD.

  • I agree, and I also say power is the ability to move your strength to where it can do you the most good.

  • Power: = Technique, speed, timing, and something within the inner man. I cannot define it, but I think they call it chi

  • he is a real fighter.

  • love vunaks hair

  • I was with him until he said that breaking boards and bricks are not a show of power. It is only to show you have proper techinque and that's all. To hit a moving target is something else and it takes more than one attribute to hit it. Timing, distance, speed, accuracy, and power to hit the target.

  • i think hes saying breaking boards and bricks is pointless

  • @ronhudsonjr I agree w him. Good way to hairline fracture a knuckle, too

  • and starting with boards bricks..etc is also a progression. you start there and work your way up.

  • but those boxers and thai boxers "ush" which is basically the same thing as a kiai really

  • this is why even the USH is out in my game

    as mike tyson said

"plant your feet, bite down on your monthpiece and say...LET'S GO"

  • even mike ush's i'd bet

  • hauhouai ok

    tommy carruthers my friend

  • what's that in english friend?

  • that means go watch the videos of Tommy Carruthers here on youtube and you will see some real stuff

  • such as?

  • Boxing is NOT a martial art. Muay Thai kickboxing was taken from the martial art Muay Thai. i HATE how people say boxing is a martial art because it's shown in that stupid MMA bullshit. Cagefighting is not martial arts. that "ush" comes from punching, nothing else. They are not saying "ush" in respect to some lame-ass sensei. Understand?

  • 1 you completely missed the point and 2 i dont much care what you think 3 life is too short to fill your heart with hate 4 go pick a fight with a good boxer and then tell me it's not a martial art. 5 what does muay thai have to do with anything that was said? 6 go pick a fight with a good mma(ironic that it's called mixed MARTIAL ARTS..that includeds boxing) fighter and then tell me it isn't martial arts. 7 the point is that you should breathe out when you punch, everyone does it in some way.

  • btw, what do you consider martial arts? only those arts that you do? even Bruce Lee/Dan Inosanto do alot of boxing.

  • "Muay Thai kickboxing was taken from the martial art Muay Thai"

These two terms are synonymous. What you are looking for is Muay Thai came from Muay Boran. Both are martial arts, as is boxing. Just because there are no uniforms, katas, belts, doesn't mean that these systems of fighting are not martial arts.

  • Boxing is one of the earliest martial arts, that and wrestling. The Greeks had a systematized boxing and wrestling around the same time that Kung Fu was born.

MMA is developing into art. Deal with it. In time, you will learn to call Chuck and Randy master! BWHHHAAAHHAAA

  • LOL =D

  • ;) The Internets art fun ain't they!

  • Hellz Yeah! People think they're all smart and they can't tell when someone is trolling them. Fucking godamn piece of shit self absorbed cunt faggots these people are. I'm serious about boxing not being a martial art though =D. Just because it's punching, and "karate" or "muay thai" or "kung fu" has punching doesn't mean boxing is a martial art. JESUS FUCKING CHRIST ON A POLE STAND

  • technically, any fighting style that was not used in a formal army (ie martial) is not a martial art - they are folk arts that developed geographically over time. example: kenjutsu is a martial art since it was used by the japanese army. karate, is not as it was developed by civilians in Okinawa (by way of china) and never used by any army. see david lowry's books for more on this.

  • Alright, so would i be right in saying that boxing, kickboxing, muay thai kick boxing are NOT martial arts? (except for the actual martial art of Muay Thai, but that could also be wrong too)

  • that is correct. those are all sports, not 'martial', which is defines as that which is used in a war. i cannot speak to muay that as i dont know the backround on that. jujitsu, however, COULD be called a MA since it WAS used by the samurai as their hand-to-hand martial tactics.

  • Cool. Yeah the traditional japanese jiujitsu is a martial art, but not the crappy grappling homoerotic version of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.

  • @DimebagVision Maybe. You defenitely would be right in saying, "I don't give a damn what they call it, as long as it works"
