Both countries have lost great opportunities to provide a decent living for their people. If the money currently spent on arms and defence were spent on development, the lives of millions would improve dramatically. Pakistan and India should join hands to fight our common enemies — poverty and illiteracy — and lead the way to a prosperous South Asia.
