In this video I realized sth...in all dragonball fighters exchange blows with relativelly the same speed, how can this happen if the get more powerfull all the time...well its prolly cause they sacrafice speed for power, that's y it might not seem like much when 2 strong fighters fight each other, cause 2 huge forces cancel each other out in general...
As they grow stronger, their reflexes and speed improve. It looks the same to us, but there's a huge difference between say Cell's and Frieza's speed.
If thwir speed improved it would look much different! And to further proove y it doesn't, toriyama wanted to stop the anim at frieza, but it was so succesfull he was told to continue....
Perhaps to them, but not to us. You've gotta realize that they're already moving at superhuman speed anyway (during the cell games for example, when goku and cell were fighting, the camera crew couldn't even keep track of their movements--but the rest of the z fighters could because of their training [speed/reflexes, etc]). Like I said, the speed of different characters are vastly different (buu>cell>frieza), it just looks the same to us for the sake of actually being able to watch the fights.
Also, you're right (i think). Toriyama would have stopped at the Frieza/Goku fight, had it not been for DBZ's success. He had also intended to stop at the end of the Cell Saga...but we see how that went. The official ending for DBZ is (as you probably already know) the end of the Buu Saga. DBGT was created purely as a way for Toei Animation to make more money and had little consulting from Toriyama himself. Most people don't even consider the events of DBGT canon since it doesn't all make sense.
