ok jim ward was not the judge in 2006 he wasnt even the judge in 2002. The judge that was i guess 2001 or 1999 through febuary this year was Jim Wood! I would know cuz hes my grandfather well step. his wife, patty wood is my grandmother.

The hog kiling looks like old footage. The mountain must have been blown up during Judge Smith's term. How come there were cameras present when the newspapers were being put in cars. Did the film makers know it was going to happen?

The hog killing was shot on 16mm film. It is not "old", only a different format. The mountain was blown up during Judge Smith's term, but a County Judge-Executive can't really stop a coal company that owns the land and the mineral rights. The federal and state governments don't do anything and don't care. When the papers are loaded into the car, they are bound, which means they haven't been delivered yet, and the guy loading them is the editor who speaks in the following shot.
