  • I'll tell ya .. I subscribe to about 20 people . Your vids are my favorites . Real adventures and ideas. Thanks for the vids . Great stuff!

  • Strange to hear you were making videos to help with feeling alone, and probably a number if your subscribers were watching wishing we could escape the cities to be there with you :) I enjoy your style. You remind me a little of survivor man and I hope you take that as a complement. For future videos I enjoy kit reviews, and it doesn't have to be new gear, show us what you like or dislike about something you have carried for a bit and have some real experience with. To many reviews are about ope

  • Congratulations! You deserve many thousands more brother. All of your videos are interesting and that was some beautiful scenery from the train.

  • As this is the first video of yours that I have viewed, I am unfamiliar with your experience so forgive me if I am stating the obvious.

    1) Don't eat snow or ice. It hastens the lowering of core temp and increases caloric useage. It also may contain harmful contaminants...Always boil.

    2) 'Burn-out' any nesting material to remove dropping dust. Disturbing the nest will expose you to harmful bacteria and worsen your respiratory ailment.

Happy Healthy New Year to You and your Beautiful Family.

  • I've been with you quite awhile. You have a unique approach with nice editing and fabulous info and skills. Merry Christmas to your bride and you baby...Dash Riprock

  • Can't say more then everyone has said. Enjoy your new family, and the ever changing times that come with it. I'm a new sub to your channel, but i will be here as long as you continue to make video's. I see you as a very humble, hard working family man. Very rare in this day, let alone on youtube. 8-)

  • Your videos are so cool. very relaxing to watch and sincere. Appreciate the effort you put in them. I love the country you live in. An amazing contrast to here in Australia. Keep them coming.

  • KEEP MAKING VIDEOS! I HAVE LEARNED SO MUCH FROM YOU AND I LOVE GOING ON THE SAME JOURNEY AS YOU- I ALWAYS LOOK FORWARD TO SEE WHATS NEXT! NOT SURE IF YOU REMEMBER ME BUT I MADE YOU THE SURVIVAL PACK VIDEO-BRAD

  • I always enjoy your videos. They are educational, informative, and fun. Always great scenery. Keep up the great work, and watch your subscriber list grow. Thanks, and I am glad to be one of the 2000.

  • One of the few ... One of the proud ... One of the 2,000 ! (Thanks, and congrats ! )

Down here, in Texas ? ... Ontario SP-8 is plenty.

  • Awesome videos! I have been watching most of your vids over the last few days and I have to say I have learned so much from your videos alone in the few days since deciding to seriously study bush craft. One of the best things is realizing you don't need to actually go right into the bush to practice and learn. I think you make your vids excellently too, it feels like you're almost there with you.

Great work! it's no wonder you have 2000 subs ;)

  • @swibo6, you ask why you have 2,000+ subscribers?

You have a voice for radio and face for television.

You cover a popular subject in an interesting and educational manner.

You have better playground, and I enjoy the scenery.

    Got a teaching degree?

  • keep them coming bro.

  • Congratulations my friend. I really enjoyed you sharing your heart with me. I started making videos for the exact same reason. I got married and moved to an area out in the sticks. It was my way of connecting with people. Love your videos. God bless. John

  • Thank you Swibo! Congrats, and keep those videos coming, just do what you do, coz you do it the best!

  • Keep it going brother! Much respect!

  • I found this an interesting video because you are an interesting guy. You have 2000 subscribers because you are the real deal. theres lots of people who read books and make videos or just outright copy what they have seen. thats what makes you the real deal because of the fantastic original videos you produce. Congrats on 2000 and i bet 4 or 5000 is around the corner.

  • Here's my two cents on the 2000 plus subscribers...A: all of the above...just read your comment sections...B: This is the first video that I stumbled upon, but I can tell that you go the extra mile when filming and editing...because I produced and directed a 2 hr feature length film with One Canon 7D and one tripod...and I know how difficult it is to film with one camera, not to mention the editing,so, add production quality to the mix and there you go. You are on your way to the NEXT 2000 plus!

  • I like your youtube channel because of its honesty. You are someone who puts videos out with substance. Too many channels nowadays just post videos for the sake of it. You dont try to pretend to be an expert and you bring us in on the experience with you. Also, you are very accessible I feel like i can relate to you way more than anyone else im subscribed to. Also, butchers stick together.

  • Another person has said it here, but it's true. You have the best channel on YouTube. The journey you have already taken us has been an awesome and inspiring one. I look forward the future you share with us.

  • Makes one wonder about how many humans have sheltered there during the times gone by

  • The beauty of your soul is as beautiful as where you live. Awesome job my friend proud to be part of the spectator that each time view your kindness. Good job, death is hard to deal with but somehow make us stronger.

  • I looooove your videos, I honestly don't understand why there aren't more people subscribed to you. I actually get excited to buffer up one of your 'silly little videos'.

  • Great videos, you have a beautiful family! Keep up the good work.

  • Thanks for sharing

  • 2000 subs, huh? Why?

    1. You project sincerity.

    2. You impart practical information.

    4. You have a decency which is increasingly uncommon on YouTube.

    5. Your emotional accessability inspires and touches your viewers.

You have so inspired me that I am going to start saying "aboot" instead of about and "groose" instead of grouse! In Florida, at that!

But seriously, your videos take me to a place where I would want to go, and with someone I could really call a friend.

  • @jetlag221 couldn't have said it better myself

  • @jetlag221 well put, that's exactly how I feel too. Only thing I would add woulbe be 6. Swibo's modesty, he's not trying to become a Youtube celebrity, he's just here to contribute to the community. I sub'd after watching Swibo's 24hr survival video. BTW that shelter location looks awesome, be sure to record yourself constructing the shelter when you get around to it. Take care Jordan, you rock!

  • @jetlag221 no homo? right?

  • Always loved your videos, congrats on 2000 subs!

  • Sorry for losses your family had to endure, congrats on the birth of your child and 2k subscribers. love your vidz and looking forward to the new and improved SWIBO6. best regards PCV35 P.S. Merry Christmas.

  • thanks for sharing, love your videos.

I would love to live in Canada.

  • I love to watch your vid's even though Im not in the woods yet.I have a place I will scout in a week or so.408 acres of forrest and streams, also planning a camping adventure while there.

  • Swibo, First let me say how sorry I am you and your wife had to go through such pain. But Life is a journey and has very low lows and very high highs else we would not know we were alive. I have enjoyed your videos and learned some thing. The 50 foot survival video was interestingly one of my favorites. Take Care and keep them coming. Thanks bud

  • nice video, I got you. I made some change also. sometime you have to move on. now i am in a very nice setting. beside the Richelieu river near woods. and maybe wild turkey i will check it out soon. see you again soon i hope.

  • LoL ... I wish i could go outside like that :( ......... city's -_- ... But yeah i mean Video games make it better SKyrime and minecraft xD ! but still city sucks

  • Its been my pleasure subbing to your channel. I've learned a lot and have greatly enjoyed your videos. Sometimes the journey is down right cruel. But we have to be thankful for the blessings we currently have and the blessings of what we had. God bless you buddy.

  • This is first time i have actually subscribed to any you tube channel/person. I added one of your video's to my favorites 6 months ago, and have watched everything you have posted. I heck back every couple of weeks and see anything new you post. I am from the UK and love fishing and chilling in outdoors. The only reason i have subscribed is as a respectful thank you.

  • After watching this video, I just wanted to give you a big hug! You are a great person, not only skilled in making videos, but you also got a awesome character. I wish you all the best and hope you never give up! All the best from Austria. Take care...Lilly (PS: Your channel is one of my favorites!)

  • some are gifted, and somehow are able to connect, you are such a person. you come across as someone you would want to get to know and I as others I'm sure would not be disappointed with the outcome, I've enjoy your vids and am glad to hear you'll be doing more now that life has calmed down for you. You just keep doing what it is you are doing and your list will continue to grow.

I'm not usually this deep but wanted to make sure you understood how important you are to this survival subject.

  • ;)

    kind regards

    streetartist

  • Thanks for sharing the personal history. Been there too with ailing in-laws. I have to say that your skill set is so diverse that who would of thought you were in an unfamiliar area, your actions on previous excursion vids seemed very natural, as if you were in someplace familiar. Maybe for you anywhere in the outdoors is "familiar".

  • Awesome Video. Congratulation on the Subs!! You Deserve it man.

  • Great video, thanks for sharing.

  • Sorry, You tube won't let me post the site.

  • Loved your video. Word of warning. Stay away from places where rodents were active. You may get infected with the Hanta virus. Check this site

  • The sad truth behind the start, but never stop.

  • Great to see another video mate ! Always enjoy hearing your life stories. Congrats on your milestone! I enjoy watching because of your way with words as others have said, but it is true. its like a gripping novel that you just cant put down, your wealth of knowledge, your cinematography skills & strangely your voice. It feels as if ur my uncle telling me all about your adventures, very odd but not in a bad way lol. hope you keep making many more videos my friend. Take good care !

  • You had me nearly filling up there, I'm so glad that you are happy bud and I wish you the best for the future.

  • So glad to have you back Bro. I miss your videos. Hope everything is going well for you now. When are you going to start taking your son out? At what age I mean. I envy you. I have step kids that are not into bushcraft in the least. But always dreamed of having a son to be my shadow so to speak. Take care and can't wait to see more videos. Thanks for sharing.

  • Mate, you have the best channel on YouTube. Thanks for sharing your story. I am sure that all of your subscribers appreciate the real person that you display in your videos as much as the real countryside and outback adventures that you show us. Keep up the great work.

  • It's not surprising you have reached 2000 subs, your an easy guy to like. I don't know you, but you feel like a friend. If I was only allowed to have 2 subs it would have to be you and Fredde. Congrats!

  • Congratulations on the 2000 subs. You earned them!

    keep up the great work.

  • Congratulations my friend on reaching 2000 subs! They are very well earned and if I haven't thanked you before, I thank you again. I love all your videos and visit them often just to hear you and your very human, and real, and intellectual take on surviving and thriving in the outdoors.

I often run for the peace of the woods for the same reasons. To numb the anxieties and put things in their proper size.

Thanks again for your honesty and for sharing with your friends.. Hugs, Sara : )

  • @saradreaming Thank you Sara, It's great to know people like you that find comfort instead of fear or indiference in nature.

  • Good luck

  • swibo man.... :)

  • @mixturebeatz nice!

  • I know how you feel when it comes to making videos. It's form of self therapy and at least for me it allows me to connect with people that have the same interests. Sorry for your family's loss. I wish you all the best. Congrats on reaching 2k. A mile stone indeed.

  • 2000 subs... Congrats! Now you are contractually obligated to make vids more frequently... LOL

  • @digitalartwerks I'm going to need a notorized copy of that contract to present to my wife... haha, just kidding, she is actually very supportive of me spending time outdoors and making vids.

  • god bless you man great vid :)

  • congrats on the 2000 subs you make great videos thanks

  • love every minute of your videos bro! i haven't been able to make videos like i want due to school but i hope to get more up soon!!!!

  • @BushcraftOnTracks Thanks and I'll be watching when you get time do do vids, no worries there!

  • @swibo6 hey man what kind of .22 rifle is that? who makes it?

  • Man, 're a little too much emotional on this one & you don't need to talking, explain about your private life to no one.

about knife I have the same philosophy!

Over the years I have been forced to use large knives for small tasks and small knives for large tasks. I guess I'd have to say it is harder to get used to doing large tasks with a small knife.I think that a big knife is more complete as tool than a small knife. Once you develop the skill set you never give up toughness for comfort.

  • @knifedrago Very true on both points lol!

  • @knifedrago I agree with on both points lol!

  • Sweet area you are in no doubt, wish I was as fortunate. Be safe!

  • You sir, are a fascinating man

  • These videos are lovely. You capture some beautiful moments. I have never seen snow but to see it drift off that bank I had a feeling I was standing there myself. Very nice. Also the joy you seem to experience outside comes across and you tell a story very well, lovely photography too. Also I am sorry for your losses, I am glad some good things have come from it. Well done and thanks!

  • @TheSchutes Wow never seen snow? That just seems impossible to me living where I do but of course a large part of the worlds population probably never sees snow. My fellow youtuber Patriot36 encouraged me to show the clips with the snow because he rarely sees it in Arizona either so I am glad that it was effective.

Also, thanks for your kind words.

  • Wahoo! Base camp... I like to setup various base camps then go out from there. Congratulations on hitting 2,000 subs. Thanks for the update!

Good to hear things are going well for you and your family. Greetings from wee bit South.

  • @oregonmikes Thanks Mike, you have been a good inspiration for me over these years.

I'm sorry for your loss of inlaws I'm very close with mine feels like I hit the lotto with them as my inlaws .any way keep up the good work you should have 2 million subscribers but that will come in time just keep on truckin brother your doing great

  • @MrSlambangboom Thank you and I can say that at least my wife is fortunate enough to have great inlaws, they would get rid of me before they ever let anything happen to her lol!

  • You sir, are most definitely NOT boring. You have a wonderful personal feel to your videos that I wish more people had.

Keep making them, we'll keep watching them.

    Congratulations on 2k.

  • A milestone indeed! It is great to hear your story and even better to hear that you are doing so well. I've appreciated your videos and perspective for a long time and will tell you that your videos have been therapy for me too. I look forward to every video you post. Peace.
