I love the beam katana. Sure it's basically a modified lightsaber, but the game does pay a lot of homage to Star Wars anyway so it only makes the references even better (like the twist ending reminded me a lot of the famous scene from Empire Strikes Back).

Anyone else notice the A button was green at the beginning of the video? That's the same color as "A" on a Gamecube controller. I guess the devs considered Gamecube controller support early on but dropped it. No big deal though, the A button on the Wii remote is still the primary attack button anyway.

Which is awesome. The original lightsabers in Star Wars got their sound by the effects guy kicking a rotating fan around and before plugging it in and recording the sound, so it's kind of coming full circle by this one looking like a household item.
