  • The 1th It is a piece in the Disney's "Fantasia" where Mickey Mouse do magic to the buckets and brooms and the water fills up and he can't stop it before it's to late.

  • I have no words to describe Satie

  • haaaarg! my brains when Satie looks at me ... *brrrgh* Braiiins (- brains explodes) Scandalously good... if you want a good erik satie piece lesson to its Sonerie de la rose croix: l'air du grand prieur! lovei it!!

  • Love it... but it's missing Chabrier and Poulenc

  • Where is Chabrier and Espana/Marche Francais though?

  • Messiaen is god

  • Messiaen is the best french composer ever ! But I like Dukas and Poulenc too !

  • Great series! Thanks!

  • i love the dukas piece! satie is one of the best french piano composers in my opinion. the roussel was so enjoyable! ravel ... amazing. i enjoyed the milhaud as well, i do need to listen to more of poulenc and messiaen!

  • Thank you for this wonderful Video !

  • I like just about everything Ravel wrote, except Bolero. I don't know many people who consider Bolero to be a good piece.

  • I agree on that. The thing about the Bolero is that, there isn't a great accelerating part in it, that jumps out. It's all quiet the same.

  • I don't like Milhaud at all!

Satie can be nice but very monotonous.

    Poulenc wrote a few masterpieces

    Roussel is very powerful

Dukas left very few works but all great.

    Ravel is THE genius

As for Messiaen, he has his own style which has no connection with Prokofiev or

Strawinsky. The extracts are too short to have a precise idea.....

  • Well chief....I vote for Messiaen if you don't mind ! :)))))

    5 stars anyway!

  • You have a treasure collection here!!

The Sorcerers Apprentice..that piece brings back childhood memories!

    Bolero! What a great piece!

I have never heard of Milhaud, his music is great!

Same for Poulenc, that concert is just amazing in power!

Messiaen, never heard of him. His music reminds me of either Stravinsky or Prokofiev, Im not shure.

I can wait for the next part of the series!!

I will upload part 2 of the great russian composers tommorrow! I hope you will like it!
