Greek Soldies are not dressed that way! These soldiers are called Evzones and they are only in front of the Hellenic parliament. These clothes symbolizes the soldiers who fight at 1821 so Greece would be independent. Also when they 're changing patrol they write the word "OXI" with their steps , which means "NO" for the denial of Greece to the Germans to help them at WW2. A war that killed 1/10 of the Greek population.They honour everyone who died for the Greek nation at this statue.so RESPECT!
