I actually remember the Sounders I was at Lockhart Stadium as part of the Strikerlikers Booster club we taught we going to the Soccer Bowl 82' (has it really been almost 30 years?) then Roger Davies scored you could hear a pin drop in that stadium then Hibbit scored to win the game for the Sounders then you all won in Seattle, for a while at least until the next season when Davies came to the Strikers he was actually booed most of the next season it was a while ago just wanted to share a memory
Threw some cheap ass watered down beers at the Canadian f*cks from the White Caps. They had like WTO riot police in the aisle between us. They would bring down 10k of the drunk Canadians and we used to beat each other up just for fun. Don't remember the score, just the battle scars!!!
Thanks for posting. I was at the Kingdome when Kenny Hibbett scored in overtime to beat Ft. Lauderdale in 1982. The crowd went absolutely crazy for five minutes. Never forget it!
Really great memories. The original Sounders were a one time phenomena in Seattle that probably will never be duplicated. Iwas at nearly every home game and games in Portland and Vancouver with family and friends. Inspired by these guys to learn the game and play in different divisions. Roger Davies was one of my favorite players, so tenacious and unselfish... just a great striker. Maybe there will be some more of that old Sounder magic with the new club in 2009.
That just goes to show how hard it is to score one. I love that it is such a competitive sport and take so much endurance. These guys run and sweat for hours for a goal or two.
a magical time- thanks for letting us Old sounder fans relive the memory
I would rather watch the likes of Hibbit any day over hollywood Beckham!

The only thing i hate about soccer is that there are barley any goals.

you need to understood that this dificulty is the heart of soccer.
for example, for much soccer fans in basketball scoring is meaningless, beucase every 30 seconds someone score.
