  • it's cool to me!

  • i think the idea is that this is supposed to be modern irish dance with arms. But perhaps if you made the arm movements a little more dramatic people would calmmm down instead of thinking of it as an error. i like the song and the part with the bounce spring on beat with the music.

  • I thought this was really good! Clearly the assignment wasn't strict irish dancing, more a free style irish dance! So well done :)

  • i think you are good. but irish dancing should stay traditional and you moved your arms way to much i think if you bring out your natural talent with irish dancing you would rock the stage..

  • That just doesn't go togeither! I am for different ways to Irish dance, thisis not the right song!

  • I thought I knew that stage! It's at UL, right? Well done.

  • i liked your dancing and that idea!

try to make `slower/easier` steps and then try to move your hands more :]

it will be more natural. and you can put more jazz dance movements or just normal steps. something like that you did in 3:04. it was very nice :]

and dont care what traditionalists says.

if you like - find your own dancing style, dont do just `irish dancing` :]

  • @irishdance81 lol! irish dancing, you cant move ur arms! u move ur arms too much, deduction!!!!! only for competitions

  • I like lord of the dance, and BTW that's not the name of the song, it's called all good things come to an end... or something like that, I know it's not that though, becauseI have the CD

  • this is nice, and i don't mind irish dancing with non irish music, but this song and the arms don't really work. but the dancing in general was pretty good :)

  • ehhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh.....

  • Don't get me wrong, I love using some modern music to Irish Dance, but I think arms should always stay at the side.

  • i agree, i wasan irish dancer for 6yrs and i dont understand wtf has happened, arms swaying all over place dancing to non irish music???? i blame riverdance, mostly michael flatley

  • i agree with IrishDancersEre. it is realy cool and you are really talented, but Irish dancing should be traditional. look up elizabeth claro to see some amazing dancing

  • i much prefer the traditional way of irish dancing, theres a reason 4 it bein traditional, it all has a meaning, is not traditional if its done like this, she is a very good dancer and i think she could be better dancing to irish music, thw kind this dance is supposed to be danced to, im not being negative, its just my opinion:)

  • i think its cool.

  • I think with irish music is it better. thats not really irish she do to much with her arms and its boring she make every time the same I´m sorry....I like it but it is not irish........

  • I agree. It is really nice but it's not Irish Dancing. The legs seem like it but one of the rules is to keep your arms to your side or your hands can be on your hips. But they shouldn't be moving like that. Again, really nice though. :)

  • pretty nice and unusual :)

but I found traditional irish music a lot more better

nothing can be compared with charming sounds of flute, viola and hornpipe...

  • her arms are kinda bad they're not very straight when they're suppose to be, ano in some parts she uses them, but when she doesn't they shud be a lot straighter

  • Dear God, why must EVERYTHING be Americanized nowadays?

This has nothing to do with "bringing Irish dancing up to date"

Stepdancing is a traditional dance that brings people back to it, not the other way around! Ever hear of Riverdance? Lord of the Step? They still used traditional music, and almost every performance was sold out!

This almost makes me ashamed to call myself a stepdancer. Well, at least the girl dancing was pretty good...

  • Why are you getting so upset about one little video where someone performs a somewhat unconventional version of step dance? Besides, time goes by and traditions change, how old do you think step dancing is? You don't seriously believe it's been the same over the past centuries? Dance styles change as does everything else (clothing styles, music, etc.) and it has nothing to do with 'americanization', it's a global thing and I think it's sad too but you can't stop time.

  • some of us don't like change too mcuh and like to stick to tradition because otherwise it cud be lost forever if it's not still used

  • i do totally agree with bringing irish dancing up to date with todays world, but if she was attempting to actually create some sort of flowing movement with her arms it would be understandable, btu she isnt. So if she isn't attempting to do that and she is sticking to traditional dancing, then her arms need to stay right by her side, or it just looks messy

  • I think youguys with the comments about keeping your arms down are missing the point. This is about taking Irish dance into the modern age, matching it with contemporary music, and there is nothing wrong with a bit of arm action. The song is mellow and floaty, the arm action works well.

  • i disagree irish dancing shudnt be made more modern its ok the way it is and the arm action tht she was using was stupid and unecessary

  • why do all good things come to an end....

not flames to dust... wht the hell r u writing???

  • cool!

  • ya work on the arms staying where they need to be!!

  • yeah really! she looks so wierd with her arms flying everywhere. _by the way, do you go to the young school of irish dance cuz i do my names erin w.

  • ???????????????????????

  • fa pieta'

  • fantastic :0)

  • nice stamina and keeping your form throughout-I did think it got a little repetitive in spots-there are a lot more 'moves' you could incorporate

  • u need to work on ur steps other wise i would believe ur a gifted dancer!

  • dont look at your feet!! concentrate more on the footwork and less on the arms. When you arnt using your arms, making sure they stay at your sides!! Very creative and love the song. I also was considering doing something this with my ID.

  • work on that posture, girl!!

  • Needs arm improvment, Good job thinking out of the box. I know we do!!

  • i think it is very creative of someone to put this to modern music .. and i think its different and great ..anyone who says differently obv. is not creative enough to do something like this ..

ps. im in OPEN championship from NJ, USA =]

  • I like it, I felt it was a little repetitive, other than that I applaud you, I am tired of people in the id community dissing me because I took 13 years of conventional dance classes and havenot taken irish for all my life, There is no reason disciplines cannot interweave, i know the irish are proud of their history and culture, however there is nothing wrong with this style of contemporary id

  • Nice... good dancing. Watch for your left hand. And watch for "flex" foot sometimes when you going backwards whith skip. Yoy could also work more whith choreography, but for that you will need time and practice. (Sorry for my english... I'm not to good in it;D) If you will have any questions.... write.

  • I like it, although i felt you could have more of it, imagine if you had worn a long floating gown, that would have REALLY worked. There is nothing wrong with the music you danced to, and you are a good dancer. (just watch you left arm, it curls round sometimes)

  • i fink ur a great dancer ignore the horrid comments above x

  • i have to agree with ruthiey1967 it was extremely boring and your movements dont work well at all. [open dancer, nj, usa]

  • no i like i do proper ID bt like we dnt entr comps r nething like!!

hey thts great ill think bout it i want to go to Mry I aswell so shur i have a few yrs!! and i play the accordian i started last yr so thats great thank yhoo!!:D Xxx

  • Why not just do proper Irish dancing { Its cool watever Your doing dough..}}

  • also i have to ask,, in limerick, i was wondering do they take on complete beginners in irish dancing!! i do irish dancing,, however my dance school isnt what you wud call "the best" but i would love to do that course!!please reply back!!thank yhoo!!=]

  • ye, d course is great. . its not as easy as some people mite think. . . like its fairly hard. . . u have t pass auditions, my school bak home isnt dat great either, but dey look for people with an interest more than nethin else. . . like iv been playin d fiddle 4 yrs aswell so dar gave me a huge boost, but if u have any interest in it, do apply n c how d auditions go. . . well worth it. . . best of luck. X

  • i hate this song!!but i think tht the dance goez really well with it!!

hey whats the course like id really like 2 no what it invovles!!

  • Maybe if a different song had been used... I dunno, I don't like it but I prefer more traditional dances better - but yeah, this song doesn't have the rhythm for Irish dancing. I like some of the moves she used though.

  • i'm sorry... i've been irish dancing for over 8 years and i'm at open-championship level (claddagh school in california), and quite personally, i think this sucks...

i do have to ask, though... was this a special at a feis, or what?

  • no, im in college in limerick doing a BA in irish music and dance and we had to make up our own composition to a song or piece of music, n this is what my friend jenny came up with for her exam,i think its really good, n she has put alot of hard work into it, so if das ur opinion, fair enough..

  • i think that just because you are at open championship level you still have no right to tell her this sucks.

its rude and bitchy, i have been dancing for 8 years and im not very good so i dance for fun. and your just being stuck up

  • thank you, i agree. this is my friend jenny dancin n she is d leinster champion. she's a brilliant dancer, but this piece was just for fun. dancin is there t b enjoyed!

  • @sazuuuu

I dont think you can be "Leinster Champion".

My girlfriends been dancing a long time now and she's a Craobh Grad from being Dublin Champion. The Dublins and The Irish (now the worlds) Open are the only big comps in Ireland so i dunno we're your comin from.

And i know this coz im a dancer myself, im Mean Grad so :D

  • realli crap

  • I thought this was good, I love watching irish dance set to pop songs, it can work really well sometimes. And I think this worked well. Nice!

  • this isn't really irish dancing. its like lyrical trying to pose as irish dancing. its really bad. im soory to say

  • it looks like she made up the choreography as she went along.

  • Who cares if the songs dumb or whatever.. your not the one dancing to it.. geez.. anyway... I love the song.. you did a good job.. remember to work on those arms.. good luck!

  • sooooo beautiful turnout:)))love them:)

strange that she does not look tired at all.this song is looong:))

  • ok nice turnout and point! work on freezing those leaps.. the song is stupid for irish dancing, sorry lol

  • This is so beautiful <3

  • that sucked

  • very good, but work on ur arms, theyr kind of out there, and irishdancer735 is kinda rite when she says it looks dumb when she lays on her stomach...

  • i enjoed it, really good danced!

  • she looks really dumb when she lays on her stomach lol

  • this is lovely, well done.

  • not to shabby i would love to see a hardshoe routine to maneater but thats just me lol. Good job keep up the good work. I enjoyed it.

  • Bravo! Not so hard for her to dance to the music. She obviously hears it. Her arms are wonderful. Irish dancers need to find their arms, their necks, their hearts.

  • Nice. Just one thing decide where your arms are going to be they seem confused... but good choreography!

  • wicked video, must have been so hard to dance to music that doesnt have that typical irish back beat which many dancers follow! so congrats! beautiful loose ankles too! something im working on, but yea very good! ~*happy dancing*~

  • btw the song is actuly called " all good things come to an end" but still nice dance i like
