80's early 90's. I saw alligators then and in abundance. Once a boater accidently ran over the tail of one and it leaped out like lighting snapping at the boat. I was absolutely horrified to get near the water after that. I didn' t help that my brother acted like he was going to push me in the water when I saw a huge gar tearing up perch under the barge lights one night. I still shutter when I think of it.
Haven't had a chance to make it back to Caddo. My jobs keeps me away from home more than I'd like. What guest house do you manage. It will give me a reason to visit.
