yay! sale!!!!!!!!! oh and balck friday is hell on earth for those in the store some one got trampled o death while opening the local target and some one kicked a pregnant lady where the baby is (idk what the bulge from th baby is called) but yeah im just glad its an online store lol no one trying to kill eachother over lego sets. just everyone mashing there keyboards trying to get the sets before every one else lol but woohooo i can finaly complet my ig army.....kinda
I love MWG, you guys are great and are a lot of fun to watch, I just find it dissapointing that most of your sales, while around 30% off or so, still leave your prices higher than our local shops normal prices. Add in shipping costs and Blah :(
I'm glad to have you guys around to keep me entertained and informed, but I just can't see myself ever making a purchase from there. Maybe for those unfortunate enough to not have a local shop to go to.
Well, to give you an idea, the Assault on Black Reach box set is $55 US ($58 and some change Canadian) as their normal, everyday price where as MWG has it for $76.95 US ($81 CAD) plus shipping on top of that.
Don't get me wrong, I love MWG to death and I love all the work that Matt and Dave put into everything, but compared to what I have access too locally, its just a rough call. I do plan on visiting the store someday as it is only about 4 hours from where I live.
well thats a lot better than any local store i have access to. These sales are live savers for me. and i think for most people too. i can understand why you are hesitant to buy from mini war gaming
yes I know that, but other stores dont have sales nearly this often, so I dont see how they can make sufficient profit on a sales in oder to renew there inventory this often..... but your right I know nothing about economics, I am studying science :D
In accounting terms, when a company is in the red.... they're operating at a loss. When the get back into the "Black" they are making a profit. Black friday was a idea that people would go spend money to help companies get back into being profitable.
Because when stores earn money they are in the black and if they lose money they are in the red. and this day is to be a day of sales because all the stores make a ton of money on this day so they can give out deals. or something like that.

canadian thanksgiving is the same sort of deal as the american one.
except it's earlier... winter kills all the crops and forces the harvest to be sooner.
also our "independence day"... or rough equivalent, july 1st at any rate... it's just a day off work/school for fireworks and beer.
