  • OMG the germans can shred . and if a certain dutchman reads this he might be pissed off lol

  • Always thought they were the greatest pure rock band of the 70's. Peerless.

  • can't believe some places in England are selling the Chrysaline years boxset for this band for only 16 bucks!!!

  • Saw UFO several times in the mid to late 70's. They were so flying under the radar in those days. Blowing away the headliners every time I saw them. Too bad Micheal was such a head case. Met him in 1990 (MSG Mark II) here in Orlando. What a nut job. Robin McCauley apologized to me for his behavior and gave us backstage passes and we got to hang out with the rest of the band. Michael wouldn't come out of the dressing room.

  • if you want t see the best in the solor system MSG fool bad//brad

  • I was more entertained with the shit I left in the toilet this morning.

  • @dvdfrnzwbr , hey asshole, show some respect. what is your big talent? let me guess, cleaning toilets.

  • @bingo0269 My talent is a successful stage show involving a donkey and YO MAMMA!

  • Seen UFO about 4 times in the 70's and early 80's ! Unbelievable show! Seen them with Foghat and also Thin Lizzy!

  • I five and I love Ufo. I dont believe all people um like crap like Justin Beaver. Ufo is better and I wish all bands sound like these. Today music suck -

  • I seen UFO about 4 times in the 70's in Birmingham.......happy days

  • UFO RULES ALWAYS WAS ONE OF THE BEST NEW BANDS DONT HOLD A CANDLE.

  • LOVE IT LOVE IT. those were the days.I saw these guys so many times in the eighties and loved each and every show but one thing I do remember more than almost everything was the amount of gorgeous booty they had in the bars at the HAMMY Odeon and all had guest passes. UFO WERE MUCH BETTER LIVE THAN THEY EVER APPEARED ON VINYL. I miss those days so much.

  • HEY 8... DISLIKE .. GO HOME FAGGOT...

  • No no no no! Of course it's good, but where are Prince Kajuku galactic love etc, speak the Decca Years... play this on concert and i will travel everywhere you want for you. Yes i know my english isn't good but i try to explaine what i feel . Yes i am the biggest U.F.O fan in germany, since i am 14 years old and tody i am 21.

UFO the greatest Band on earth!!!!!

  • I saw ufo and ac/dc for 3 dollars back in the day...called the new wave invasion tour.....they blew ac/dc off the stage...3 encores....angus got booed and shit thrown at him when he mooned the audience. Times sure change.

  • Saw U.F.O. open for Rush in 1977. AWSOME! Little Odessa,Tx. kicked ass back then.

  • i must have seen UFO 12 times as a warm up band. The best ever!!

  • Saw them in Santa Rosa last week,They still ROCK!!!!!!

  • UFO - Unmatchable Fantastic & Original ROCK . I cant say all, second thought yes I can say all bands today claiming to ROCK are bull shitting their fans as to whats ROCK.

  • A little more shencker pls :-)

  • ebeen a fan since 75....Sr. in high school....summer before college one of my best buddies went to our favorite place to get high. I saw him in his souped 71 Chevelle driving there,,,,He had his shotgun and blew his brains out all over his front seat...in the tape deck was this tape....Fuckkkkkk!!!!

  • @1stSaintsFan

    that's some heavy shit!

  • I was at the Sacramento version of this concert and all I can say being from the LA music scene. they were one of the best I have ever seen.

  • I'm 15, and in LOVE with UFO. I really wish I could of been alive at this time. And I really wish more people my age listened to these guys, instead of the shit rap/pop in this generation.

  • @xJustJuliax Thats too funny. I was 15 when they 1st out. Damn what good times those were

  • @xJustJuliax Make sure to add Thin Lizzy and Early Scropions with Roth to your listening routine as well...the three most important bands in hard rock history.

  • @stingray1964 Already have the scorpions with roth on, but Ill check out Thin Lizzy. Thanks!

  • @xJustJuliax sure thing kid...

The real early stuff with Eric Bell is good, but the stuff from Night Life on with Scott Gorham and Brian "Robo" Robertson is the best. When I was 14 I bought "Live and Dangerous" just weeks after it came out, still listening to it 33 years later.

    good luck...

  • @xJustJuliax I saw them in San Diego in 1977 or 78, can't remember what year exactly but they were awesome. My favorite is Love to Love. Great music, keep rockin!

  • @xJustJuliax Right on little dude! im 49 and still rock'in. In the words of neil young" it's better to burn out than fade away!"

  • @grabbermavman Neil Young is amazing! Love him!

  • @xJustJuliax Hey bud , a suggestion ; get yourself a vinyl turntable a good amp and, copy of strangers in the nighton VINYL and get ready your head torn off dude. Thirtyfive years ago we were 15 and couldnt see UFO coz we lived in NZ but really hearing that vinyl is sonic nirvana! Kudos to you for your taste! :)

  • @xJustJuliax amen!!! im 18 and am in love with this band now!!!! THERE COMING OUT WITH A NEW ALBUM NEXT YEAR!

  • @xJustJuliax I'm 51 and would like to go back to those days with you. It was a better time and freedom was in it's glory days. We could do almost anything back then; and the music was the backdrop.

  • @xJustJuliax hey yeah this is when MUSIC was just that MUSIC .. not today's bullshit ! it was a GREAT Time for the REAL Metal / Hard rock ..only problem was No one Got ANY AIRPLAY ! there was no you tube we had to buy the albums ( when they were vinyl or 8tracks ) way before cd's

  • @xJustJuliax You have good taste kid... saw these guys a few times in my day ...one time at Winterland SF.. The Strangers in the Night Tour........Fantastic!!

  • @xJustJuliax you have excellent taste my young friend. just so you know..they are goin to be on tour this spring....hit the u.s. in the fall i think. check out their website for details.

  • @grazio599 They are? Me and my parents would love to see them. Thank you so much for the info!

  • Grew up on UFO, Rush, Sabbath, Nugent, Trower, Travers, and US Bongs, lol. Aside from the obvious great tone and phrasing Schenker had/still has, singers today could learn a thing or two from Mogg, he also has great phrasing, tone, never tried to sing beyond his range, stayed right in the pocket, knew when to hold back and come in just a little behind the beat to make ya wait for it.

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • Saw these guys open for Rush on the Farewell to Kings tour. It was guitargasm that night. Schenker was awesome and it was hard to say between him and Lifeson who had the better night. Great just great.

  • @shirtshine73blitz Congratulations. You saw both bands at the height of their power. I'm sure it was a trippy, hard rockin, heavy metal concert.

  • @shirtshine73blitz All sue respect to Alex Lifeson, but he's no Schenker dude. 1977 thru the time he left ufo in 1979, he was untouchable by anyone in Rock.

  • @believer06 All respect right back atcha. All I was saying was on that night, in my opinion, it was hard to say who was best because they were both so great.

  • @shirtshine73blitz gotcha. Im a Rush fan as well. 2 of my best friends saw them and UFO on that tour youre talking about. It was the show b4 the one in Chicago for Strangers in the night. Schenker's amp went out right as he was beginning his solo to love to love. In a rage, he pushed over the Marshall Stack he was plugged into. Paul Raymond ended up improvising most of the solo on keyboards.

  • @believer06 When you consder how primative those sound systems were back them who could blame Michael Schenker? I had a Marshall blow out on stage in front of an agent and had to finish the set plugged into the second channel of the rhythm guitarists amp, it sucked and the agent blew us off but oh well.

  • @shirtshine73blitz Man, that must have sucked. You guys were probably cancelling each other out, going thru the same amp like that. I was in one band where me and the other guitarist didnt even use our amps. We both plugged directly into the board. It wasnt too bad and it saved on space,

  • @hawkinscraig05 From 1974 thru 1979, the band centered around Schenker. Once he left the band, UFO's momentum and popularity went with him. Pete way even said that whenever they wrote tunes, they made the rhythms behind the solos simple and long so Schenker could rip some of the most awesome melodic solos over the top of them. To this day, I have yet to hear ANY live rock albums which could even come close to Strangers in the night. Every single song and solo on it is awesome in every way.

  • @believer06 Ritchie Blackmore just called. He said he wants to talk to you. ;)

  • @JasonHi Never been a fan of Blackmore. Mainly due to his sound. Hate strats. Too thin. If I listen to him too long, I get a headache. Love Schenker's warm tone.

  • @believer06 That's cool, to each their own. I have nothing but respect for Schenker. A musician on another level than most, for sure.

  • これ以上ドライブ感のあるロックってないよね。車のっていたら飛ばしちゃいそう。

    大好きな曲です。

  • This had to be the hottest concert of the time' If I could turn back time :(

  • The first time I heard these guys was on " The King Biscuit Flower Hour " in I think '76 but after that I became a hardcore M. Schenker fan.

    Thanks for the upload.

  • Absolutely the best band of the 70's.

  • My all time fave band from the 70's. I saw them 7 times starting in 1977 when they opened for Cheap Trick on the LIGHTS OUT tour.

  • My buddy and I used to drive around in my 1969 Dodge Dart and party while listening to UFO in the 80's. What a blast from the past. Why do I suddenly have an urge to find some pot and smoke it?

  • UFO-The most under rated band in rock history. Ask any "rock" expert your age.

Yeah, they piss me off too.

    UFO forever.

  • Michael is one of the best, if not the best. Hands down.

  • Just love the way Phil Mogg sings "Lights Out In London"!

  • Apropos of the song, I dig his midriff tie blouse.

  • i have all these videos on the DVD UFO TO HOT TO HANDLE

  • This is the real thing folks. I really miss rock & roll.

  • amazing,magical & one of a kind......

  • dude, fucking awesome. missed this for so long. big mistake removing this from my pc. where can I find any torrents?

  • Hello officer, I'd like to report a U.F.O sighting....

  • they should hav been big.....

  • i probably saw them 8 or 9 times as an opening act back in the 70`s and early 80`s always great live

  • As many UFO songs that have been covered I am surprised that this wasnt one of them, incredible band with a lot of talent to bad they didnt stand the test of time.

  • Awesome!

  • Love Shenkers guitar work!

  • Lights out, Lights out, gotta hundred dirty girls and you know what they about...

  • In a word.....brilliant!

  • Excellent music. Nothing compares to UFO in todays music.

  • @edwardsre Tesla and Scorpions are still around

  • for first solo atleast

  • guitar tone...sounds like is playing has the wah pedal stepped on

  • saw em open up for AC/DC in Columbus Ohio summer of 79 Strangers In The Night Tour. gen adm. up against the rail i was 15, and the qualludes were good...R.I.P Bon

  • @halkito oh really. who was singing in acdc? i saw the in 1980 with blue oyster cult and molly hatchet. brian johnson was singing very fucking loud man. alot of killer acid flowing around

  • @MrSchmuchface Was that at Castle Donington? I didn't see you there.... :o) Like has been said on here, some of us are lucky to be of the age we are so we can say 'We wrere there...' hang on, sounds like I'm an extra in a friggin' Vietnam movei! Still play & love all the stuff from those days.

  • @rhinoal no. it was at orange show stadium in san bernardino california. it was an outdoor figure 8 race track the amplifiers towered about two stories high and i would say 50 yards on both sides of the stage acdc cranked it up all the way. they just came out with theyre back in black album. so it was the first i ever heard of them.

  • what are these guys up to lately any ideas? feel free to inform me at adamdeveras@msn.com

  • was iron maiden a fan of this band cause i heard doctor doctot with iron maiden too

  • Classic one!

  • that was awesome

  • Really superb performance and sound! Great band that didn't get the recognition they deserved.

  • lol yeah your right

  • does any body els think this song sounds like hanger 18 by megadeth

  • @RebelsToSociety No, but i think Hangar 18 sounds like Lights out in London

  • @mark62295 I know exactly what u mean by many good times, lucky too be alive ... lol

  • Seen UFO great show!

  • Schenker has that tone that just cuts right through any mix.

  • its my understanding that this song was a story told to him from a firends dad when he was a kid. later turned it into this song. ww2 must have been hell for so many people.

  • Mogg never really got it did he?? This was the band behind him.....especially Way & Schenker...this....UFO was Schenker.Way & Parker

  • @austingunsmoke I disagree. As great as the band was, there would have been no UFO without Moog either! One of the most underrated rock vocalists ever in my opinion.

  • @deadenddude

Yeah it was Moog and Shencker-something they still don't understand

    or maybe they do??????

    klaus

  • ms looks so much like kk downing lol

  • Sweet! This is the first time I've heard this in about twenty years! THXXXX!

  • to bad the did not tour canada much-i think they opened for rush once-one of my favorite bands Mike was a guitar god long befor the likes of van halen and rhodes to bad they never hit the supergroup status they deserved

  • Phil Mogg is just AWESOME!! He rocked my teenage world...as did Steve Marriott of Humble Pie. The best, however, is still Paul Rodgers!!!!! Rock on.....

  • UFO/Iron Maiden - Long Beach Arena - Summer of 1981. Ah....those were the days. Michael Schenker with MSG is still sounding great these days.

  • very good hard rock excellente guitars , i loved

  • Just fantastic

    Good Rock N Roll

That is how you play the Beloved Gibson Flying V

  • schenker brothers combined= god

  • two comments...Michael Schenker is German not British....and Iron Maiden were playing when Schenker was still in Scorpions

  • @Fanofald Maiden formed in 1971 but they have never ever retained the original members actually Irom maiden today has none of the forming members in it. as for UFO you cannot put anyone to schenker from that era, Not Iomi, Murray,Richards,Page. the combination of Moog's vocals with Schenkers screaming blues sound you cannot recreate.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrWifeaggro Actually , Maiden was formed in 1975, by Steve Harris and he stills plays in the band to this day

  • @MrWifeaggro yeah way to get served. learn your Maiden history before you try to explain it to other people. Steve Harris IS Iron Maiden. Founded the band, writes all the material, and fires and hires the other members. And hell, even though Dave Murray wasn't a "founding member" he was hired on in '76, so he's as close to an original member as they get. Just thought I'd throw that in there :P

  • Precursor's to Iron Maiden?? Discuss and enlighten moi pls...

  • @missionpants Between UFO, and The Scorpions yes, yes indeed

  • one of my favorite bands of my time. pure fuckin british rock

  • Michael fucking rules on this song .Live album is great

  • UFO was one of the greatest rock bands ever. Unbelievable musicianship, songwriting and performance....

  • One of my favorite solos ever. Schenker goes nuts all through this song. Does anyone who that is on rhythm guitar seen toward the end? He's a lefty playing a Firebird upside down. I'm a lefty too, so I dig that.

  • @mxr226 Me, too, cool. Great video. Maybe my favorite UFO song, with rock bottom.

  • @mxr226 That's Paul Raymond!

  • @mxr226 Must be Paul Raymond, he played keyboards/rythm guitar at that time

  • One of the all time classic rock bands!

  • Michael!

  • wolvo civic yea!!!

  • - Where is Tom Giard? He's the one that introduced me to these guys. He had a sweet 78 RD400E back in the day...

  • Best UFO tune ever!! Excellent footage here!

UFO played at the 'Scene' night club in Latrobe PA back in 1978..you had to be 16 years old to get in, I was 14 at the time..I didn't get to see the show...bummer!! It took me 4 weeks to save up the 6 bucks for the ticket.

  • I fucking love this track!

  • I haven't seen UFO in a dog's age. Thanx.

  • Man this makes me think of all the babes I use to pound to this whole album back in the Quay days...many good times, lucky to be alive.

  • This album was excellent when it first came out.

  • @mark62295 Love it

  • @mark62295

dude...you just ruined ufo for me...my dad turned me on to this shit and now...EEEEEW FUCK. for him it was coke, not qualudes tho. still...EWWW

  • @mark62295 ...all one of them?

  • @mark62295 With you on that bro. It was sex, drugs and rock n roll for me and I wasn't even in a band!

  • Always loved these guys, particularly when Schenker was on board.Deserved a lot more success than they enjoyed.Up there with Zep and Purple in my opinion.

  • @eelsdoors Better then booth by miles

  • these guys and a band called Gamma are the most underrated rock bands ever-gamma is a lot like ufo only they use a lot of synths and keys but they still got really cool riffs and solos

  • Anybody wanna know where Iron Maiden came from?

  • @gtr362 Allready know

  • An oldie but goodie! I love UFO - definately a classic. But the open shirts and white shoes are too funny!

  • pure rock.one the best yet underrated bands .

  • @uhnter1 Os caras são fodenhouse! Motoca.

  • @uhnter1 Most definately brah

  • Awsome, pure rocking !!

  • underrated as fuck!

  • they rocked big time!!!!!!!

  • Great Band - Still Kicks ...............

  • UFO is the most underrated rock band in history. They were on the cusp of stardom when Michael decided to leave. What a shame!

  • Kick ass. Anyone else see how Nikki Sixx got some of his style from Pete Way ?

  • beaucoup sont tres bon, mais pour moi les meilleurs c'est.............maiden!
