VESSELIN DEMIREV currently is a concertmaster of the Aalborg Symphony Orchestra in Denmark. Born in Varna, Bulgaria, he was introduced to the violin at age of 3. Winner of prestigious national competitions, he has performed to critical acclaim with major orchestras, in concerts, and solo recitals on concert stages in Austria, Hungary, Holland, France, Italy, Spain, Mexico and the United States.
Maestro Demirev belongs to new generation of musicians who find the path to the core and essence, after many many years, 70 or so, in which so many musicians, some of them much hailed, lost it. Sheer pleasure!
my only criticism is that ur bow is not very straight. the frog tends to stay towards you and the tip points away from you. other than that, it's perfect!
@musicluvr416 what you said applies to begginers my friend not for violists of such calibre. they decide how the bow is to be placed. bow placement is wrong if the sound produced is faulty
Five stars ! Absolutely beautiful. The Mozart composition is of course devine - his best violin concerto, but this performance - in all it's simplicity, without the orchesta, is too !
The most beautiful thing I've heard since George Szell and Francis Druian playing the Mozart Violin Piano sonatas. I'm so glad you fellahs are out there playing!
@Jan2ek it is a Violin Concerto. The piano is supposed to simulate the orchestra, which is why it is called piano accompaniment. The orchestra, and thus the piano, follows the soloist, not the other way around.
Dear Movcharov: Would you please share more information about Vesselin Demirev biography! I'm really impressed about the mastery way that he plays violin!
I would like to get some pictures from Vesselin when he was a child and he study at Varna Music School. Thankyou in advance for your information!
Wonderfully done! I love the cadenza and the finale! Vessko, bravo! (Vessselin Demirev works as a concertmaster at Plano, he is originally from Varna, Bulgaria. I am so proud to know him since he was 4 - we were in the same violin class - his first violin teacher was Mrs. Anna Kovatcheva in Varna Music School.)
Amazing, solemn, tender, pulsating. Thank you Mozart

Beautifully played, without any theatrics, so true to the score. I like it better with orchestral accompaniment, but the pianist plays well.

Music to enter heaven by- One of Mozart's most beautiful pieces.

I think this was exactly what Mozart had in mind when he composed this piece.
Demirev plays it with feeling and a very beautyfull tone. His vibrato is exelent. No show of... only pure music. Breathtaking. Bravo.

This comment has received too many negative votes show
If the violinist could only match his pianist ,how good this
would have been -it is the pianist that carries the day and
makes the work flow - the violinist is pedestrian at best .
Jan2ek 2 years ago
Shouldn't the pianist be following the violin here? It is a violin concerto.
