There is a 1 Minute cut off time anyway, as with a lot of voicemail centers.
But, lets just say someone did leave you a really annoying 4 minute message. Would you rather listen to them rambling and mumbling for 4 minutes, or just see the text in a glance and see it's not anything important. I'd rather see it and delete it.
