So Jack and Darren faked his death for the insurance money because they were going to lose the dog. They were the only ones who knew about it, but then they told Frankie. Steph has just found out and is angry at her mother for not telling her. No one else knows that he's still alive yet, everything thinks he's dead. Eventually though the truth comes out when he goes to save the McQueens from Niall and him and Darren wind up going to jail because of it. Darren's been out and Jack just got out.
