  • DOCTOR WHO?! I'm thankful for that.

  • Jingel bells is actually a thanks giving song. Just saying.

  • you celebrate xnas? you do know it has pagan origins right?

  • I love Remus :)

I'm glad he's on your shirt!

    Happy thanksgiving!

I'm not American but I hope you have a good one any way!

  • Hi Kayley!

I discovered fiveawesomegirls a few days ago and got hooked up on all you girls. I kinda made a jump through time (as in from early 2009 to this video) and I think your new (I don't know how new) hairstyle looks great!

Keep being made of awesome! You're my favourite Wednesday =P

Question: are you in my pants?

  • you eat green bean casserole as well.

and... are a vegetarian (yes, remarkable, there are sooo few of them)

    and excessively drink water.

    and... Harry James Potter.

i have finished my incomplete statements of things you already know about yourself that i am amazed with. five stars. the end.

  • You know what I noticed? All the people on youtube who are like uber obsessed with Harry Potter call JKR "Jo Rowling" instead of J.K. Rowling like it's some type of esoteric joke. I now say Jo Rowling to make my friends feel inferior.

  • Your wolf shirt/hoodie/sweater reminds me of Luke for The Mortal Instruments series. :)

  • yay, you said "primary school" :)

also, remus is the only werewolf that counts. ever.

  • Yay for Remus references :D

  • I wasn't going to reference Jacob Black OR Remus Lupin...

I was going to reference KassemG

  • I loved lupin at your jumper!

    Oh, terrible puns...

  • HAHAHA.

  • i have a wolf top like yours ;D i got it ages ago.

and why do people in America celebrate thanks giving..? i'm from UK so it's kinda confusing for me :L

  • Oh and I am thankful for Kayley and all of her video's all those who agree say Aye!

  • Boo! the douche fag being controversial

her vids are win O.O if you don't believe in her views good for you but seriously keep it to yourself no need to spread negative energy on such awesome vids I mean seriously Harry Potter!

  • leaving aside the theological debate for a moment.

Kayley have you ever seen the British sci-fi show "Being Human"

it's on the bbc and the second series is in production at the moment. It's about a werewolf, a vampire and a ghost who live together and it's not cheesy like it sounds. It got a massive following and i think you would enjoy it.

    Love the videos.

  • and i love your videos, I think someone should invent some GOOD Thanksgiving songs! Now lets all start being polite, and kind again :-)

  • Comment removed

  • this is getting very controversial..... not sure what to say except that you sound like one of those preachy Christians giving the rest of us a bad name..... sorry but i sorta agree w/ Owlssayhooot and if that makes me a bad Christian then so be it

  • WHY has no one mentioned the Turkey Lurkey song by Adam Sandler?! That was ALWAYS played on the Radio when I was in high school four years ago! :-P

  • Haha I don't really care for Adam Sandler. :P

  • Can I make a Shark Boy reference? Is that allowed? because I think I just did.

  • I don't even know what that is, haha. Anything but Twilight is acceptable, though.

  • No need to preach at her. Her religious beliefs are her own, and yours shouldn't be pushed upon her.

  • nerdhuggersfftw, it just amazes me that people like you think the very mention of God, who the holiday is actually dedicated to and given for, is somehow offensive, just goes to show how evil and wicked men have become.

  • lol you're one to talk.

  • HOW IS IT DEDICATED TO GOD? THANKSGIVING IS CELEBRATING HOW WE HAD DINNER WITH SOME NATIVE AMERICANS AND THE CONTINUED TO SLAUGHTER THEM AND TAKE THEIR LAND.

    Some god we have.

  • What nerdhuggersftw says. I am not religious, so no, it isn't "worthy of my top 10".

  • @fellowservant34 *sigh*

I had a witty comment for this video and I completely forgot it when I read your statement.

  • @fellowservant34 can i just point out that people are entirely entitled to their own opinions, and therefore they can choose their own things to be thankful for. I'm sure your god would appreciate your own thanks, but not so much your attempt to enforce your beliefs on others. just saying.

  • I don't believe in God. My opinion, not yours. Now leave me and my polite, kind commenters alone. Don't tell people what to be thankful for because it really is absolutely none of your business.

(Some God for you to follow; someone who will make you pay a "high price" if you don't thank him on Thanksgiving.)

  • slaughtering native americans?

  • No, silly, eating with them THEN slaughtering them xD

(we are going to get crap for making jokes because people on the internet can be so overly sensitive, haha).

  • yum, it's too bad we're both vegetarians.... haha.

I know right, you're not telling these people not to be religious but they seem to be telling you what to do :p

    blasphemy

  • Wow. Just wow.

I've grown up Christian, my grandfather is a minister, and it's people like you who made me want to stop being a Christian. You're giving all Christians a horrible name by being an asshole and trying to shove your beliefs down someone's throat.

And before you say how "wicked" and "evil" I am, I still believe in God, I just get really pissed off at his followers for being close minded, hypocritical douche bags.

  • congrats on the one year anniversary. Me and my bf's two year anniversary will be may 11, 2010

  • Ahhh. I love your shirt/sweater/whatever it is. Where did you get it?!

  • h&m.

  • I thought I saw it at Southcenter the other day! :] Awesome.

  • Ahh, I wished I lived closer to Southcenter. I want a boys forever 21; my boyfriend loves it! haha.

  • Oh my goodness, I wish you had one too! Boys H&M is amazinggg. I don't have a boyfriend currently, but when I do.. I'm definitely taking him there. Hahah. :]

  • Actually the first thing I thought when I saw the shirt was Bad Wolf. And then I laughed. XD And actually if I am not mistaken (don't quote me on this) I believe that Jingle Bells was originally intended to be a Thanksgiving song, so give that one a sing at the table on Thursday. :)

  • You're awesome Kayley, I wish we celebrated thanksgiving in the UK because it sounds really nice <3

  • That shirt isn't even 1/3 as cool as the three wolf moon shirt.

  • My boyfriend and I had our one year anniversary on November 20th too! :]

  • ASk a turkey.... they will have some good points........

  • can i do a video response to ya?

  • What's thanksgiving btw?

  • american holiday for the most part.. pilgrims.. indians... turkey... thankful for everything... feasting til we gorge? something like that.

  • Tryptophan!

  • Is Oz an acceptable werewolf to reference?

  • maybe wolfman could be a good reference to wolves... too.. maybe?

  • Harry Potter

    MLIA

    do you use mysterygoogle?

    because if not you should

  • i am thankful for you

  • GREEN BEAN CASSEROLE! that's the best :)

  • i'd thought you'd put doctor who/david tennant in there somewhere.. but still

    awesomesauce!

  • I had it in but edited it out in favour of the scones one because it's sillier xD but of course I am thankful for Who!

  • haha, fair enough :D

  • I MISS THANKSGIVING! No Thanksgiving in UK-land :(. By the way, Kayley, yoru videos have been getting mega-awesome since the beginning of this school year. I mean, they were always good, but... recently, just YAYWOW!

  • YES I loved the bit about blocking Jacob Black references. It's all about Harry Potter and JKR. :D

  • i really like your hair lately! :) I AM SO EXCITED FOR THE OFFICIAL START OF CHRISTMAS! im so tired of people saying "its not even thanksgiving yet"

  • Au contraire! There is a house with a giant, inflatable pilgrim-turkey outside down the street from my college.

  • LUPIN IS THE BEST CHARACTER EVER!!

  • I randomly heard Hedwig the other day, and I realised just how much Harry Potter actually means to me. Oh, and I love your shirt!

  • i lovelovelove your lupin shirt! though you always have awesome clothes.

anyhow, awesome video, it's great to hear people actually sticking up for holidays instead of complaining about them.

and happy anniversary to you and your boy! my third anniversary is in a month, so i have major empathetic warm fuzzies for you guys!

  • I dont live in America,so I dont really konw what it is.But if its all about taking about what you're thankful for it seems like a amazing holiday,

    And your shirt is awesome(LUPIN)

  • LUPIN:)

  • Jingle Bells was originally written for thanksgiving, not christmas

  • Nope, it is an English song by James Lord Pierpont, written about winter in general, since we dont celebrate thanksgiving... =D

  • Great video, loving your work as always kayley x

  • I'm thankful for J.K Rowling, Suzanne Collins, John Green, John Ajvide Lindqvist and Neil Gaiman.

If we're only talking books that is.

  • Neil Gaiman wrote the world's scariest kids book:

    THE WOLVES IN THE WALLS

Maybe the illustration are what make it scary but its still scary!

  • did you hear about oxford changing one of their common room names to griffindor. SO AWESOME.

I live in england I'd love to one day spend thanksgiving in america just to see what it's like

  • I have never really gotten what Thanksgiving's all about. Is it only celebrated in America?

  • and in Canada but they celebrate it in october. But yes only IN North America

  • Yeah, they made it up. Supposedly it's when pilgrims and natives shared food and were friends.

It's ONE day, of course. After that, the pilgrims slaughtered the natives. Yaay.

  • Regarding your shirt: I was going to make a 'Flight of the Conchords' reference - I think the character Bret has a similar item in his wardrobe!

  • I loved this video, and awesome shirt! Lupin is for sure my favorite Defense Against the Dark Arts Teacher/werewolf.

    Happy Holidays!

  • Kayley, I think you would be proud of me today. I took my little sister to the mall today and while she bought a Jonas Brothers dog at Build-A-Bear and named him Jonas, I bought an owl and named him Hedwig (and I thought about you and the rest of the 5AGs while doing so).

  • They have owls?! That is AWESOME.

  • Have you ever heard the song Alice's Restaurant?

It's about/for Thanksgiving. And it's 20 minutes long. My dad makes us listen to it every year.

  • Haha, uuuh, no. xD

  • what about Uncle Luke? Can I make an Uncle Luke reference? The Mortal Instruments series? anyone?

  • tjbailey08-Yes! I thought of him too! Mortal Instruments is a close 2nd to Harry Potter to me(:

  • I think number 10 is my favorite.

  • *not making a jacob black reference, i love you & your videos so don't block me!* if i remember correctly, weren't you a twilight fan and a potter fan? of course I know Twilight should not be taken as a serious piece of literature, but I have read the books, and do like them (for reasons I can't even explain myself), but I don't understand how a someone who once liked the books could totally turn their back on them (which the whole vehemently denying a jacob reference seems to imply).

  • because I re-read them and thought they were shit and then the phenomenon blew out of proportion and became a joke? not too hard to understand. I haven't liked Twilight for well over a year.

  • i guess i could see your side. i'm afraid of re-reading them pretty much for the same reason =/. oh well, at least we can agree that harry potter pwns all.

  • That sucks. Twilight rocks.

  • Awesome!

  • Harry Potter PWNS Twilight! Like several million times over! REMUS LUPIN IS THE BEST WEREWOLF EVER!!! Hmm, I thankful for my family and friends and HARRY POTTER TOO! I have re-read those books...

  • Remus pwns Jacob.

    Fuck Jacob.

  • REMUS REFERENCE

    Just thought I'd add that.

  • LOL Great video.

  • Aw, congrats to you and Denis!

  • Also, my spam fisher thing had me enter in "Dennis." How cool was that?

  • water also = laundry!

yeah, i'm all about some thanksgiving, but there's only so excited i can get about it without feeling like i need to write some turkey carols in order to be more excited...

  • I'm vegetarian too! I'm looking forward to stuffing and sweet potato casserole. :)

My parents decorate with about ten differently colored gourds. We've named them. Flash Gourdan is my favorite.

  • pretty sure a lot of cream of mushroom soups have animal stock of sorts in them... and since green bean casserole has cream of mushroom soup as one of the biggest ingredients, i'd just make sure the one you're using is vegetarian :) <3

  • Naw, most mushrooms soups are the only soups that don't use meat stock. But I've been a vegetarian for years and usually cook for myself, haha.

  • "primary school"? that sounded so weird

  • As in, elementary school/grade school...

  • yeah, I know, I went to "primary" school too (and then secondary school). It's just that I've never heard someone from the US call it primary school.

  • You are vegetarian. I am vegetarian. Therefore, I love you even more. <3

  • Jacob Black kind of captures the spirit of twilight... he just gets shit on and shit on... but he's always there... whether he's wanted or not... in fact, especially when he's not!

  • Adam Sandler has a pretty good thanksgiving song ;)

  • May I ask why you are not amused with the internet right now? Or, maybe it's, you know, none of my business....

Anyways, happy late anniversary to you and the Denis!

  • Just nothing interesting, people are more judgmental than ever, just blaaaaah. Bunch of random stuff.

    Thanks!

  • I definitely have that shirt! Woooo! *high five!*

  • when did you go vegetarian?

  • Five years ago.

  • that's awesome! I wish I had strong enough character to be able to be one... maybe some day..

    Have a lovely thanksgiving! :)

  • remus references are accepted, too true :) dftba!

  • hahaaa. When you showed the shirt, i was like ahh, definite jacob fan. =] But nevermind. lol.

  • a whole year? aw :)

  • I didn't know you were vegetarian. Are you going to be eating a tofurky loaf?

  • Haha no. I don't eat tofu. xD

  • I'm a hardcore omnivore with carnivorous leanings and even I like a little extra-firm tofu on the grill from time to time. What about when it's floating in your soup at the Chinese restaurant?

  • That's the worst. I can't stand Chinese food or tofu. I loathe the texture, bleh.

  • My mom tried to make me tofu one time. It was terrible. I guess it really depends on how its made

  • may I ask what exactly your Play Production class entails? the first thing that came to mind was my Production Management class and that was anything BUT exciting. I love most of my theatre classes but mostly just the ones where I am actually doing theatre, as opposed to just learning about it, which that one was.

  • I have Drama. Fun class.

  • @zacashleymiley123 I am going to assume you are still in high-school. nothing wrong with that. I'm just in college majoring in theatre and thus I have many classes that are more specialized.

  • It's a theatre class. We handle all of the production stuff (costumes, set, etc) plus do the acting.

  • ah see you actually take part in productions, that would be fun. Production Management was about all the tedious, paper pushing types of things it takes to run a theatre. there was a surprising amount of math, which I do not like.

  • I am.

  • 1:31 Hahaha.

  • When I saw the wolf shirt I actually thought of Sirius Black.

  • Wooo! <3

  • no thanksgiving decorations?!

you are obviously fortunate enough to not have parents that saved every drawing of pilgrams/replica of the first thanksgiving meal you were forced to make in elementary school...

  • Hahahaha my art was less than impressive as a child xD Don't think they kept more than one or two things, haha.

  • Love those reasons!

Also I'm seriously contemplating becoming a vegetarian. It's hard because I'm so used to eating meat (as is everyone in my family) but I absolutely hate animal slaughter and am such a bloody hypocrite by continuing to eat meat. My goal is to become a full vegetarian no later than Jan 1st! My mom really wants me to keep eating fish though, so we'll se...

  • I want to become vegetarian too but when you think about its not like theyre going to stop killing animals just because one person stops eating meat. My brother told me that.

  • Yeah, but like rainbowrachii said, there's also the healthy diet and less demand when I'm out eating. The biggest reason is just because I don't feel comfortable with animal killings and I hate feeling like a hypocrite. I don't expect other people to stop eating meat, it's just me.

  • Yes, do it for your own reasons; if you get hung up on being a hypocrite you'll drive yourself nuts.

I was NORM for a while (No red meat) but that didn't last. I'm back on the cow, and the bird and the fish and the pig and the pastrami...oh little baby pastramis are soooo cute too...but they taste soooo good.

  • Yeah exactly! I suppose I'll start with being a pescatarian (just fish) because I'm still growing and that way my body can adjust easier. I've never had pastrami (dont even know what that is, haha!) but I suppose that's a good thing. One less food to miss, eh?

  • woooooo vegetarian / Fuck twilight.

  • Comment removed

  • Woo! Go vegetarians!

    Also, love the shirt.

One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is I can finally listen to Christmas music without feeling like it's too early. :D Although I still sometimes listen to it before anyways, hah.

  • If you five girls ever get together all in one place you should get a studio audience, three cameras, some guests, and do an episode like the View. Or not.

  • Haha I wish!

  • woot vegetarians ftw!

  • My friend gave me his ukulele, so naturally I looked for a ukulele tuning video on YouTube. This led me to Jaaaaaaa which led me to Vlogbrothers which led me to italktosnakes which led me to 5AG which led me to you. Thanks.

  • Haha damn, quite a journey xD

  • As soon as I saw the wolf shirt I was like oh god, now I'm gonna scroll down and see 90349234092 twilight references xD

  • My thanks Giving was like 3 weeks ago now, and i still marvel at just how crazy American's are about all holidays. You guys really like to do it up, no half ass holidays for you.

  • Kayley, this video made me so happy! I don't know what they're teaching you in play pro, but your line "say anything about Jacob Black and I will block you" had me freeze up for a scared moment, until I started laughing at your wit. Rest in peace, Remus. :)

  • Hahaha oh man xD

  • Remus Lupin <3

    I want that shirt.

  • Yay I'm not the only person who says "Harry Potter" when asked what I'm thankful for. Jo Rowling has made my life ten zillion times more awesome with Harry Potter. I am so thankful for that.

And I'm super excited about Christmas, too!! =D

  • You again!

  • Me...? =/

  • Yes you! This is the 3rd or 4th time I've seen little miss Luna-Lover (you!) commenting on a video! Your name stands out! But don't mind the accusatory tone, that's just me joshin' with ya! : )

  • Haha I do love Luna. =)

And maybe I should be questioning why you're always watching videos right around when I comment them! Hmmmm. *Goes into stealth mode* :]

  • Haha! Yeah, apart from this I can only recall two other times I remember seeing your name, actually (but counting this one, it's at least 3 in all!); on a Dan Brown video, and on a video where Kristina sings a song about NaNoWriMo. Your name just made me think, 'Potter fan! Luna fan!' the first time. Then I saw it again... then again, lol. Guess it makes sense though. Pogobat and the 5AGirls are... well, awesome; and awesome to be subbed to!

    Anyway, see you around! lol

  • Didn't Johnny Durham wear that shirt/sweater in a Chartjacker's video?

I remember this because the awesomeness is imprinted into my mind (EPIC SHIRT/SWEATER!)

  • I don't know; I've never seen it. It is possible since it was purchased at H&M.

  • That was totally a Remus Lupin shirt. 'Cause that looked like a badass, uncontrollable, flesh-eating Full Moon induced werewolf, not the wimpy, clearminded, telekenetic? kind that the pretty Native American boys can shapeshift into whenever the need arises.

  • a good song for thanksgiving is called Thankful by Josh Groban

  • oh yeah, what made you become a vegetarian?

  • I think meat is disgusting. And I ate giblets by accident, which scarred me.

  • I love thanksgiving. FOOOOOOD!

    chicken is better though :]

  • Nice Remus shirt! oh, I am going to start humming Christmas songs before Thursday!

  • I started months ago; don't worry about it xD

  • WOOOP! hehehehehehehhe idk:P

  • for thanksgiving decorations, look at maureen johnson's pineappleurky -- it's quite festive XD

  • YaI<###333

  • In response to #10: Unless you're Wal-Mart that starts selling Christmas stuff in October.

  • Haha well you can watch my previous video to see what I have to say about that :)

  • Kayley your a vegetarian also? YAY.

    go veggies. :P

    Happy Thanksgiving to you also!

  • Five years as of this Thanksgiving, actually! :)

  • Wow I agree with everything. Especially when you said you liked the mash potatoes.

  • YAY, it's Kayley in my subscription box! :)
