Dang,I would have bought two of each. One kept in its origin packaging makes it worth more to collectors in a couple years. I know for I have dups of the original series,and other incarnations in their plastic covering and its current value...priceless!

Although I liked the actors for these classic roles, I kept thinking too many things were messed up about this movie. I liked the 60s series and the first 2 films, but not really into any other Trek stuff. My beefs: 1 Old Spock 2 Factory-like sets 3 Ice cave coincidence 4 Red matter?? 5 Dumb villains (in Armani trenchcoats) 6 Spaz fighting (with swords!) 7 mind meld (exposition!) 8 Vulcan destroyed! 9 meth lab editing 10 Overall depth, tempo of Sat morning cartoon

LOL at the "Old Spock is ripped" comment! I think I heard on the ST movie website that Captain Pike (and maybe Chekov) were Toys R Us exclusive figures, so that may be why you didn't see them at Wall-Mart. I'm not 100%sure though.

pike is the actual original captain of the enterprise. He appeared in only the pilot episode of the original series, "the cage". But that pilot was actually rejected by studios and so was this character...that's when shatner came in

well....Michael Giacchino is doing the score for the new movie and he's the one who did the score for speedracer...somethiing not really impressive. He's got huge shoes to fill in James Horner....but he did do the lost music...which wasn't too bad...i think he knows the task ahead of him and hopefully will rise to the occasion and blow us away

i just recorded my young spock review...when i do either mccoy or kirk...(probably mccoy next) i'll bring out the batman i have and show him next to him if you wish. The 3 3/4 ones were all over the place too...saame look as the 6 inch guys...but come with the build-a-bridge pieces to make a bridge...that's a little too much for me though i think

just now? October 20th of last year i did my first star trek review...the uss defiant. I wouldn't say i just now started doing em...i also did the enterprise E back on january first of this year. I'm a actual star trek fan...unlike some people. I'm genuinely excited about these figures and am not just doing these because they're "popular" and "new".  I'm a lifelong star trek fan that knows what he's talking about...ask anyone..especially jtmitchell haha

i grew up obviously after the original series...but grew up watching the original movies. I loved those...but when TNG came out...i got hooked. I really like that series and the last few seasons of DS9 during the dominion wars. That was exciting stuff. But the movies are exceptional...the only one i really do not care for is insurrection.

3 outta the 4 TNG movies where good. First contact was good, i really liked nemesis though...it was a great story..just with they coulda found someone that looked a little more like picard to play shinzon. Generations was a great movie too...how they incorporated both franchises. Insurrection to me, didn't feel like a motion picture movie. It wasn't aweful...but more like a episode feel to it. The other 3 had a grandeur about them that looked good on the big screen..not insurrection though

The only ships insurrection had really was the enterprise and the son'a ship. I wasn't really impressed. I've seen the new romulan ship from playmates and it looks decent..i might get it as long as it has good detail
