meanwhile they changed stats-mechanic and you should stack up

1) intellect (for mana volume)

2) spirit (for mana regeneration)

3) spell power (for throughput)

and balance those for your needs

intellect doesnt do any mana regen anymore and is no no-brainer anymore

You did a good job explaining it but the format that you put it in was very disorienting and I had to watch it over a few times. I couldn't exactly follow your order. Next time you go over a guide to a class try

1) Overview of Spec/Class

2) Most used Moves

3) Talents

4) Glyphs

5) Situational moves

See if that works for you, if not sorry for taking up a lot of your time. It works good with all dps things, with #2 being the rotation. Works good with tanking. Healing it works pretty well too.

@Norling99 i say lvl in disc because its more of a tank healing so when you get into groups of 5 for dungeons your more healing the tank then others, like she says in the holy vid, holy is more for dungeons and healing everyone.

I wonder why she put Beaming Earthsiege with its 21 Crit at her third best meta for Disc Priests. Insightful Earthsiege seems to really focus on growing your mana pool and giving some mp5. I think that'd be best for Holy. Disc tend to hold their mana better and the 21 Crit on the BE may help proc those DA bubbles. I'd love to hear some thoughts on this. Thanks! (this is a 3.2 vid and we're in 3.3.3 now but I think the stat weights are similar if not the same for those two patches.)

type /msbt to get the options menu. From there, there should be an button called "Master Font". Click on that and you get a window with all the fonts you have installed.

You can install additional fonts with the SharedMedia addon and placing fonts in that folder.

Interesting. As a destro locks the order of importance is: SP > Hit > Stamina > Haste > Crit. IMHO haste is more important than crit because I can get crit from raid buffs.

Idk why you would have Hit in the chain of stats, that's irrelevant, the stats are listed for gemming pretty much, because once you are somewhat geared, you should have hit covered in your gear. Especially as a lock.

Only 2 of the 5 pieces of tier 9 has hit: Gul'dan's Gloves of Triumph and Gul'dan's Robe of Triumph. This means I need to get hit close to cap with auxiliary gear. A warlock is never, ever going to socket hit gems (if they do it's temporary). The Warlock gems of choice will always be Runed Scarlet Ruby (sp) and Reckless Ametrine (haste), and maybe the highest available stamina for PVP.

My casts need to hit level 83 targets. Since Blizzard removed Cataclysm I've gone with 360 hit. While this isn't cap it still gives me a 92% chance to hit a level 83 target. Hit also has variable importance meaning once 360 is reached hit no longer has priority. But if hit drops below 360 it has priority again.

I've never seen my haste increase in either 10 or 25 with a screen full of buffs. So either the classes aren't buffing this stats, or raid haste buffs are a myth. If you're about to say Blood Lust, I don't consider BL a buff like Power Word: Fortitude. It's a 40 second temp buff with a 10 minute CD. :<

Haste is important for disc. healers actually, and REPLACES Crit in the chain of stats as follows:

SP > Crit > Int > Mp5/Spirit

^ That's a WoWWiki chain, so I don't care if anybody wants to argue it.

Anywho, once you are about 25-30% crit unbuffed, Crit becomes Haste in that chain.

Purnizzle, i would say that disc is what you shuold aim for.. you loose mana ofc. but you loose less than you do in holy (; disc is allso very good when hitting 80, better than holy if you ask me :P

Realistically you won't be able to keep your mana up at level 70 in holy. Holy is aimed more towards raid healing, with discipline for tank healing, but since you're only running 5-mans, this shouldn't be a problem. The only real issue with healing in discipline is paladin tanks - they need to be healed to get mana back, so don't just sheild them. As a Disc healer, generally PW:Shield people, drop loads of flash heals and occasionally drop a Prayer of Mending for the instance.

This post is dated 3 weeks ago, so you probably found out already but I'll answer anyway just incase.

From what I found with my own experiences disc is definitely better to do instances with at this level, easier healing, better damage preventions (shield is OP at this level with the talents) and you use way less mana throughout every pull and boss. Hope this helped a bit. PS: Glyph of PW:S owns hard at this level with disc.

Penance has some misconceptions. First, it is indeed affected by Borrowed Time. It gains the 25% haste benefit, however it is amazing in that it does not consume the effect, test it for yourself. Also, Is not affected by Holy Specialization (sadly); disc spell, not holy.

god i love ur priest guilds, helped me out a lot. but on that note when looking at the talent grace, idk, do u really need 2 points in there? sure 100% is great, but if ur job is to mainly heal MT then really u will get 3 stacks of it without a problem at 50% plus im wondering if you have it at 50% and say use a healing spell on another target and that target doesn't get the grace buff, wouldn't it still be on the MT?

Honestly, by the time you are lvl 80. You should know how to play your character. You should also have tested all your talents to see how each one works and fits to your benefit and or to your play style. Also get information from guild member or other people you meet during game you can learn a lot from other people that have more experiance then you. : )

A true statement. I've known people who struggle with that but i know people that have no problem. Easily enough if you level 2 professions gathering/crafting or gathering/gathering, or how ever you would like to do it and do it right without buying extra stuff off the auction house and sell all and everything you make and the right stuff you can make gold. Also selling greens and blues troughout questing helps a tremendously. : D

holy light eats your mana if you dont have most of the external means of gaining a good bit of mp5, unless of course like you said...your extremely geared. I tend to spam in a bit in fights where the tank is taking too much damage for my FoL to keep up with. this is alittle different in 25mans of course where you wont be the only person healing the tank at all times. Im in toc 10 and ulduar gear and i tend to do ok with not going oom.

if your a paladin or shaman INT stacking is the main SP gain you get 7-11 SP is like 20-35 INT the more INT the better the more SP the worse you mana pole is worse so... it really depends on your class all I know is shaman and paladin would be best to stack INT

Thats not true at all, for example a Druid can not stand still. That person should almost all the time run around and heal, because of the fact that they can instant heal, the same goes with some other healers... so you can not really say that. Because that aint true at all.

Druids can not stand still? That seems stupid. They can stand still, but they are also great during movement fights.

For a number of fights there is no reason at all for a druid to be moving, unless maybe some ignorant DPS is out of range.

Though, what DrunkenBabies says is true. Druids also have cast time spells in addition to instants, so they will perform better when standing still.
