Are you just twisting the bands round the bows? I can't work out how you're fixing the two together, I bought ready made bows and bands, but when I twist the band round it shows on the top of the bow, is that right?
Nice video. I'm a groomer and this is a very helpful hint. One thing to remember to all those owners out there.....please remove the bows after a few days. The dogs come back in with mats in the ears or where ever they were put. :)
I just read what some idiot wrote 5 months ago. Obviously this person doesn't own a pet. I have a Schnauzer and a Shih Tzu and I love it when they come home from the groomer with pretty bows on. They don't seem to mind the bows at all. If they didn't like them, they would rub them off. I think YeahThatsRightDude should keep their opinions to themselves until they know what they are talking about.
Can you buy the rubber bands at a craft store? My dentist will not give me any rubber bands and the groomer looks at me as if I am crazy asking for their rubber bands.
@allmydogs4 Hi sweetie, when you place the bow on your dog, its much easier to wrap the elastic band around the hemostats (I call them something else, but forgot!) and then stretch them open, and place the bow. My maltese doesn't stay still long enough for me to wrap it around her top knot, so its just easier for me. :) I hope that helped.
Thank you sooo much! I tried the hemostats recently after seeing another demo showing just what you explained. It has made my life so much easier! I'm a groomer and had NEVER see that trick. Thank you again for the great info.
Thanks for this amazing tip on making a grooming bow, i have always struggled with making my own when i run out, with your vid i can make a hell of a load to fill a huge box! oh im gonna be addicted!
Thank you so much for this video. I have to show this to my groomer. Since I moved back to Canada, no one has put bows in my dogs hair. I suppose I could do it myself. Anyway thanks for the info.

Dude, do you think dogs like these? Maybe a dog would like to put something it 'made' in your hair?
