i'm trying to install XP sp3 on my thinkpad t42, but when i enter the product key exactly as it says on the sticker. it's say 'the product id you have entered is not valid'

Hi... I have a problem... Every xp disc ive tried doesnt seem to boot. All the cds work on other computers. But on this laptop it never seems to load the disc. And its not the disc drive either. Ive even changed the boot up sequence and nothing. Please help me... Thanks

did u skip a file when it was copying the files.....i think u did.......to fix it u probably have to reinstall xp.....if the problem occurs again. u might have to get a new installation disc

yes it will work even if you have windows 7 installed first or even windows 1995 installed first. All you have to do is insert disc, restart computer, f12, select boot from disc and follow video instructions

No not everyone has 3 partions. some people have 1 some have 2 some even have 5. Anyway you are supposed to format the partition that previously had the bad windows xp version or the harddisk you want to install xp on...
