Who the hell needs SLI, and i7 cores to play? Even Games which will come out 2012 wont need an i7, and 2 Graphics cards.

Well, i dont want to offend you, but i got a question ; Why do you need these overpriced Things? you can max any game with a single stock GTX 460 and an i5.

1st: because i can afford it

2nd: i don't use it only for gaming, i have 3 virtual machines on it (I'm Oracle data base programmer),

in free time i use it for video editing and graphic designing

3rd: only on my present RIG i was able to maxout METRO 2033 and Crysis 2 (with 16QAA or 32AA)

holey fuck 35 fps on street dang my cpu is only like 2.98 ghz 4 gig ram i.3 intel core thats all lol and i get 60 fps all the time when i play maybe 49 fps thats it and my cpu is not even a hardcore gaming cpu lol runs crysis at 1400x200 resolution smooth to on my pc lol i dunno wtf is up with my cpu it just likes games and good speed for some reason look at my vid of my gaming cpu i got now for sale u can even see its not even a hardcore cpu lol

Having the quad proc. helps a lot. Running Q9650 at stock with a gigabyte super overclocked 260 216 myself. Get a "Gemini 2 S" cpu cooler minimum, Avoid those push pin coolers! They tend to pop out of the motherboard socket.

1GB don't mean nothing: it can be 1GB of DDR2, DDR3 ( newest geforces has DDR5) each has diffrent performance. U can have 100GB on graphic card and it won't change anything becouse procesor of this graphic card GPU is just too weak.

When you upgrade, you replace something. So you kinda 'throw out' a PC aswell, but not in 1 time... right ? And then you get stuff like DDR2 that turns into DDR3 so you need to replace your motherboard, then SLI comes along, buy another motherboard... shit is expensive (and also still throwing it away)

True, but from my experience, I'd rather buy a new console worth about 200 - 700 bucks every 6 years than upgrading a pc for about 500 - 900 bucks every 3 years.

I used to buy a pc every 3 - 4 years worth 900. I descided that it's too expensive, so I bought a huge flascreen tv + an Xbox360 for about the same price. When you see what GTA4 needs to work properly on a pc... I'd rather play the (slightly less high res) console version.

@Silent83PL ...... no coments... HD5870 IS A WAY BETTER than GTX260 even a WAY better than GTX 295! Your problem is on the cpu, you cpu is too crapy for the graphic! 2 options, or you overclock to (nearby) 4GHz or buy a new one ;) that ATI should run in 1080p all max, in 60~100 fps

@Uzi910 Make sure you have an 64 bit os and try to use classic ugly theme to increase fps, exit out programs you don't need, look up some tweaking in YouTube and you will run highest :P
