@jayblac Is there any need for that remark? dont you think blacks have enough shit comin their way without you making it worse. Why should i defend human rights when i see your remarks on a simple recording of the jackson 5.Im white by the way !
@AfroMusicV8, I know many positive comments about Marlon! #!) While he had the smallest fro, he had the most Unique, because of his complexion, he made the light brown hair color popular for light skin brothers, when he was younger! #2) You are going by the movie, about time when they sign with Motown, he was the second best dancer in the group, look up, Going Back to Indiana concert! #3) I am going to end it here, I got more, he is the only brother that can play the SAX! Look up MDLT Willis!
Another opinion: I highly believe if it wasn't for Mike being with his brothers in the beginning he wouldn't have gotten as big as he did. But who's to know...?
The stars were aligned just right when Joe and Katherine got together. They produced the most talented family that ever lived. And in the midst, out of the layers of the ozone, comes Michael Joseph Jackson. His extraordinary talent went past the stratosphere. We only get that kind of greatness once, and we had it for fifty years. But that kind of masterful greatness lives forever......

Love the J5. They could of been named the Five Angels, but their father named them the Jackson 5. I still feel the same way about them from the first day I laid eyes on them. This song and performance instantly warms my heart.
@Summerslam96 ha ha lol xD i can't think of nothing to say about Marlon besides the fact that he got in the way of everybody else and he had the smallest Afro out of all his brother's..He couldnt really dance and he would throw everybody off..When anybody thinks of any positive comments on marlon that sets him apart from the rest of the group let me know...cuz i can't think of anything
I loved this song and album. I'll never forgive my mom for moving my album against are heaters and the whole album melted! I cried and cried! lol hey I was only about 8 or so. I never did get a new one! lol Mom still feels guilty to this day when I bring it up. lolol Great Performance
I downloaded this video back in '05 and this has become my favorite Jackson 5 song since then. I also like how tight and precise the choreograhpy is. It's true, daddy was a jerk, but they were some bad mamma jammas! :)
This was my absolute favorite album from the Jackson 5. Michael and his perfect pitch -he's not singing in a falsetto. No matter how high the note, it's perfect. This does my memory banks good.
BOY BAND?no no,"Boy Band" would be people like The Back Street Boys or NSYNC,clearly Tito Jackson and Jermaine Jackson are PLAYING their instruments. The Osmonds also played their instruments as well.
lol i learned all the steps to this dance each time i watch the performance or listen to the c.d i'm always doing the dance.lol.this is one of my fave J5 songs.
LOVE THAT J5 CHOREAGRAPHY. Michael really lit up after the interview ended, didnt he? I used to play the hell out of this song when it came out on TAPE. yes, tape. lol. I love how the kids today are re-learning Michael and the legacy he had with his brothers. Sadly, he wasn't alive to see all this love and respect but he is probably looking down on it and smiling. RIP, Michael.
Hi I am a kid and I'm only just starting to hear Michael's music and I love it, I like the fact that you understand that we hadn't really heard it before and that some of us aren't just listening to his music now he is gone. =) Thank you.
I actually love thiz song i play da hell out of it....by the way they all are sexcci but i gotta giv it to mike he looked betta than his bros and the girls in background need ta shutup dai dont wont chall asses.....lol jp great song xoxoxox rip michael joesph jackson
Great point ! but back in the day most parents who wanted their children to succeed was strict. That is why this family will always be the huge success they are today. Kudos, to their parents for keeping them on track and believing in their talents. I remembering seeing this show when it aired!
@Lucie8675 yeah i found it on vinyl last year at a flea market for a dollar just before his death, I also got Thriller, and Off the Wall, for a few dollars a piece....PRICELESS
Hearing this song and seeing MJ in that flower suit is so significant in my life. I was just 10 years, this was my first record and I had a large badge and posters on my wall - a true 'teeny bopper' as they would call fans then! RIP MJ.
Yes but N'SYNC gave you Justin Timberlake who is very much influenced by MJ, bringing you to the Jackson 5. Most recently I'm hearing tunes that I've not heard for 30 years +! Amazing!
Oh, I've been singing J5 since before I knew they were J5. My Daddy used to blast Destiny in the car when we were running errands, and in the mornings taking me to school.
man, these kids are good !!! can you see Joe Jackson in the top-right holding his belt ? he is gonna beat their asses if they mess up! .. enjoyed it Mike but sorry man !
@whitman2010 That's f up, im sure wasn't whooping Jackie, Tito, or Jermaine's but at this time. They were 2 grown and ould have gave him an ass whooping.
@usmc6004 i was just joking!!! this seems to be 1972 0r 1973, im sure by this time all was well. all five of them have recounted tales of their father being very abusive though... and by all acounts MJ was the most stubborn and brave !
Michael's like a machine. I notice when I watch many of these old Jackson 5 clips that Michael keeps going even after the music stops. The other brothers dont do that. Beautiful outfits and afros...it reminds you of how beautiful our people used to be and how good music could make you feel.
I agree!!! The Motown Acts (polished, professional, graceful, effortless flow etc.... )really showed what blacks are capable of without much outside influence. Destruction of our music is just one of the many "benefits" of integration.
This is the song which got me interested in the J 5. I think most people who remember this will be sad for the boy he was and the man he became. A true talent.
I love how Michael does a slow spin in this, but by "Forever Came Today" and "Dancing Machine" he was going full speed with the turns and the dancing...He could not be contained.
Summer of 72! One of the best years of my life and one of my favorite songs. Michael will always be looking through the windows on all of us and he will know that he truly was loved!
I was just a kid when mike was starting out and I grow up watching him grow into the mega superstar he became. when I first heard of his passing i could nt believe it. He may be gone but he will always be remembered.
this song hold so many memories. i had a girl group called the 4m's. so here's to my group mates marian w., miriam c., monique j. and me melody n. and to 5th grade and the dream of 4 little girls to make it big and sing with the jackson 5. r.i.p. mike i love you!
the others were just along for the ride
Michael was everything!!!

I love how Michael does a slow spin in this, but by "Forever Came Today" and "Dancing Machine" he was going full speed with the turns and the dancing...He could not be contained.

I was just a kid when mike was starting out and I grow up watching him grow into the mega superstar he became. when I first heard of his passing i could nt believe it. He may be gone but he will always be remembered.
