  • gud old skool reggae and man they look young here.

  • I think this song is fucking brill, the albumn was excellent, one of ub40's best. Where are the goin with there past few albumns, no where near the quality and originality of ub44 and such albumns. Maybe Robin and Ale should produce more stuff that they d;ont like ! Excellent Band thou.

  • It's a pity all the singles off of UB44 flopped in the Charts. I guess the failure of this album inspired them to do Labour of Love, next.

  • gutted to read in robin and ali`s book that they didnt like this album.i think its great. then again their all great!!

  • fair point dave, i must admit this music from this era sends the hairs on the back on neck to attention. i must have worn my vinyl out listening to ub44.

I had to replace signing off and present arms.

Got the dud session album at teh concert last week, not bad, i think it is better than baggaridim.

True true, i would like to hear more of this music from the guys.......long live

  • baggaridim is a unusual record for ub40 im proud to have a copy they have better music though!

  • got 2 agree with davejive its not the same as the old days, nevermind.

  • Brook, I don't mean to be negative but, we must face that our band has not been themselves for years now. C'mon, not even Feliciano could do a good job of "Light my fire"! UB40 used to write riddims that made me sit up and listen. Now, they are rather bland. I await their real "comeback".

  • i agree there old stuff is better than there recent material.

  • Brook, it's also the sound. They just don't do it like this anymore. I miss it. Tyler, King, 12 Bar, Adella, Present Arms, Earth dies screaming etc. That amazing organ! The magic and beauty we hear on this track is no more. Maybe they sell more records now, but they've lost me.

  • dave, the memories go with the songs, is that what your missing. There are some great news tunes, go listen and create new memories.

My memories are awesome for this complete album, but i still support the best band around.

  • you need to have faith Dave, its your age.

When you listen to the old stuff it immediatey takes you back to that time of your life.

Listen to the other stuff and have even more great memories.

I agree to a point, due to getting mashed to UB44 and signing on, my life changed, but some of their new stuff is still fantastic.

Listen to the Dohl bros tune, catchy large.

  • I was 16 when I heard this on the radio in South Africa back in 83. The wind was gentle and warm. Now whenever the wind is gentle, no matter which country I'm in, I hear this through my being. Sadly their sound changed after this. Maybe one day they'll sound like this again. Then, I'll start buying their music again.

  • had the black and white poster with the trombone.sax and trumpet on their stands the b side was one a penny

  • UB44 is an INCREDIBLE album, here i am, forget the cost, love is alright, i wont close my eyes, dont do the crime, the prisoner, the piper calls the tune, folitician, every single song is just incredible

  • my dad loved ub40, so do i, it makes me think of the gd times me and my dad had, love u always dad, r.i.p x

  • sexyxmarie, that is really sweet.

  • thanx hun x

  • This reminds me of when I had a mad crush on Earl Falconer on bass (still got a soft spot for the man) Love the track!

  • there first few albums before labour of love were fantastic.

  • schweet - one of me fave ub40.

    nice one.

  • nice one for this,great tune,great message.
