  • All of you are right, he's above God.

  • Aphex Twin made my speakers blow up several times :(

  • Electric dude is a gay prude

  • The bass on this is insane, makes my headphones rattle.

  • @roflamb5 yeah imagine if it wasn't a youtube video

  • I took my online nickname, ageisp0lis, and domain name from this song. . . over 10 years ago now <3

  • He's not god or anything in between, it's just a mortal making music.

very good music BTW and only IMO

  • love this track! added to favorites & thumbs up.

  • This song's a masterpiece.

BTW Snoop Dogg's Drop it like it's hot beat ripped off this one, Im sure

  • honestly electrum zephyr aphex twin started IDM and turned edm into something that is actully listenable to the people that hate mainstream shit...so if you can do that hes on the level of mozart or bach 2 me and i would consider them gods

  • Very nice track!

  • bargain bucket and basement bongs

  • love that bassline!

  • @Koso1590115 dont get much better than that right?

  • Unf.

  • Some people might have misconstrued what I said about making music like Aphex Twin. 1) I just want to make music in this genre. 2) I'm probably committing fandom heresy by saying this, but Aphex Twin is not God. I love his music as much as the next guy, but some of you (I won't name names) are taking it WAY too seriously. Chill out with that.

And don't move the goalposts and bitch about how "I should have been more lucid". Most of you are grown-ups. You know how to apply critical thinking.

  • @ElectrumZephyr I completely understand what you mean. The best way to expand your musical skills is to listen to awesome music and figure out how they compose their songs. Then you evolve your style with what you learn from those songs. Aphex twin > most college music classes

  • @ElectrumZephyr Your not thinking seriously enough :B Aphex is totally god... and all those who oppose his radical freeform sweet hawt jams are not worthy of brains at all. This is fact... All you gotta do is feel the music and it all becomes clear.

  • @ElectrumZephyr I love when people like you speak out. Gives me some faith.

  • Bass line is sick

  • Please guys, PLEASE, DO NOT discuss about David Guetta on a Aphex Twin video. It's insulting.

  • @DroiidLife And I heard that he's Ricky Martin's bitch.

  • @DroiidLife derp

  • @DroiidLife whaaat? are you gay?

  • @DroiidLife go troll away

  • my favorite aphex track :)

  • boom boom boom boom

  • and i took it down to 29 lol

  • tryed listning to this at 35 dB

  • i swear it is my mission in life to get a collection of chaos pads and some serious sustain and fuzz, plus a phat Bass and learn to play the bass line on this :)

  • Props on the SUB! My floor is vibrating!

  • @danonsko Nobody can become like Aphex because he's one of the very pioneers, automatically becoming number-one-hotshot. But there are artists that have worked even harder on their mixes (Infected Mushroom at least). Their work from the 90's to somewhere around 2001-2002 is just inhuman. Cleanest mixing and most detailed electronic music in existance. 85-92 album is the best I've heard from AT, also being probably the best ambient music collection.

  • @Xynth0 Justice is dope.

  • I'm remixing this now right. And it's not a cheesefest although I could never come near this without the original sounds. Just a light warm-hearted trance remix. Slow bpm too. Thinking 128.

  • im a new aphex twin fan...how is aphex pronounced??? aphex with a "P" sound?? or aphex with a "F" sound??

  • @punk4life1029

I always pronounced it with an "F" sound, much like the "ph" in "Phone".

  • @LookSquirrel alright thanks man..

  • I totally heart this.

  • Yes! Good win with the sub!

  • Any artists that sampled this? If not, then it's a shame how they have not realized this track's genius

  • it is AMAZING:)

  • This clearly influenced Leftfield's bass melody in A Final Hit. This is better though.

  • @FreeRadical1015 Hmmm I see where you're coming from there. Similar bass tones and the whole shebang. Fair play, dude

  • ps this song has always reminded me of old school west coast pop lock videos like Poppin' Taco and Boogaloo Shrimp!

  • This might sound crazy but i think this is an AMAZING SONG!!!

  • @ElectrumZephyr it's not the equipment. it's the artist.

  • yeeeeeeeee

  • masterpiece *bow* *in awe* !

  • @OrganicThumb420 daft punk is gay and shit

  • @Peppepoppldoppl Thats LOLL!!!

  • @pollocknyc all sarcasm aside, it is possible to reach Beethoven's artistic level. if u set ur mind to it u may be able to. people act like its impossible to compose music like that, but if its impossible then how did the original person do it? so just sayin, the dude ur making fun of may have a talent but just doesnt have the materials to make the music. or maybe he's just cocky, but im givin him the benefit of the doubt here.

  • I think the fact that you have to title your tracks on your computer before you're done with them is the cause of these absurd titles.

  • @LIGHTRONIX all part of the fun

  • The thing with these early tunes of RDJ was that he MADE all the equipment himself to get the sounds he wanted.

    Total looney ;)

  • this is so simple, but it is a masterpiece for electronic music

  • When the bass yawns it's gaping jaws at a minute in, I just lose my shit.

I have the album quality with headphones too, only way to listen to this.

I used to be strictly a metal listener, but jesus this is amazing.

  • @Mayokitty7 yeah same here i love metal but i just feel that aphex twin squarepusher and others just bring to music something that not another genre can. some pieces are extremely complex but some like this one are rather simple but the emotions reveled through them are just impressive. this music is truly genius. metal is good, but i like this better.

  • Okay, someone needs to upload this at the alternate speed, I just played it, SOO TRIPPY!

  • If you were in Orlando in 1995 you would understand. The Edge, Firestone, and free kisses. Just have fun. Why in the hell do you go out anymore? Drop that shit!

  • Dat bass... god damn.

  • BASSSSSSSSSSS <3333

  • super chill.. toke toke toke toke

  • I have the bass turned OFF from my subwoofer, yet the glass on my table still resonates along the lines. Nice.

  • this makes me think about aphex twin and all of his rave master ninja friends sitting around in a basement somewhere smoking a bong and playing sega dreamcast

  • @shenmue4life Lol Him and Luke Vibert, chilling in Redruth

  • @shenmue4life Yeah, I was thinking that too...

  • @shenmue4life IN 3D!

  • @shenmue4life Lol, you got me thinking about the Rave Master anime (which has nothing to do with music, oddly).

  • This is my theme song.

  • Shit I think this song is in a movie!? I had no idea it was Aphex till this moment. WOW..

  • now this is true ambiance. if only james would make stuff like this nowadays.

  • play it on 45rpm, nice suprise! :)

  • Possibly the greatest bassline in any electronic song

  • wow this is incredible

  • stoney head-bopin' tune.

Thanks for everything Richard...hope you dabble into ambient music again.

  • I already loved this song, but I was really blown away when I realised that it was from 1985-1992. Shit's so far ahead of it's time, it's still fresh and exciting today!

  • Ahhhh.... the bass.... Yet it has ambience too..

  • @ElectrumZephyr don't make excuses for yourself! just go out and do with what you have...its incredibly easy to make music like this these days if you're clever

  • what a condensation!

  • Epic...

  • the amazing thing about this album is that it is dreamy enough to get lost in but also groovy enough to move your head to.

  • very nice song, really love aphex twin.have been listening alot through the years, for more good electronic music you can click on my name and have a listen to some fresh songs that i got on my page,if you feel like it,have a great day : )

  • @ElectrumZephyr

It would take more than equipment though!. Richard is a genius and suffers insomnia he sometimes would stay awake 4 days solid making a tune!

  • Richard your music is something to be proud of, you may get tired of hearing it but i recognise your incredible genius you are astonishing and the music you have created is mind bogglingy good my friend! Regards plain old John :)

  • ahhhhh...the memories!! :-)...

  • Truly epic.

  • My fave track off SAW1, even surpassing Xtal, that sinebass melody is fucking gorgeus

  • soo much bass!

  • Shit man listening to this on youtube does not do it justice! Buy this album it will be the best spend money youve ever dished out. EVER! Its simply a "timeless masterpiece" as one user put it.

  • I wouldn't be surprised if there's a God that he holds raves to this music.

  • this song has me in a chokehold

  • all of Aphex Twin's music, but this album especially, is just so brain enriching.

  • this album is good

  • This whole album sounds like it was recorded in Wonkas chocolate factory by magical ambient unicorn shamans. Ethereal, weird, original. Timeless.

Undoubtedly this guy is a contemporary master.

  • increible!

  • haven't heard this song for so long, the beat is so sick >:D

  • bass is fucking beast

  • ..so high

  • great song, it gets louder as the song goes on and i had my speaker on full so it blasted my ears off

  • Excellent - I heard this on a documentary the other day and remembered it from the 'Future Shocks' video (old trippy 90's VHS 'chillout' visuals!). Agree with other comments also in that a good deal of his other stuff is too experimental to evoke the sort of emotional response I get from this track. As a psytrance producer and DJ (hobbyist), I think it's incredible how this track hasn't aged one bit, unlike other ambient music - thanks for the post!

  • man, i'd forgotten about this song. what a great tune. sounds like i'm in a jungle and rain drops are falling all around me

  • sick

  • I wish he'd stop messin about with rubbish and make more masterpieces like this...

Bach would of been proud of this :)

  • Pretty much every good artist from the 90s is messing about with rubbish nowadays. I can never understand why they abandoned making masterpieces.

  • @GSVNotInventedHere

    Drukqs & Analord...

not every song off 87-92 is a masterpiece either, but this track is just ^^^^^^

  • So true.

This is one of my favorite bits of tune of all time!

    Just want some more

    Have a great 2010 :)

  • all this wishing and wanting about afx - the most boring conversation ever!

  • @GSVNotInventedHere aphex has never ever made rubbish in his life. People have made rubbish of their life until they had the chance to listen to ten seconds of aphex

  • @gualtieriida ...I guess you are right. All the mental tracks have a great following too :) Lets all hunker down in an Analogue Bubblebath ;)

    Long live RDJ's sanity!

  • @GSVNotInventedHere I think his latest stuff (analord) is just as beautiful as this is.

  • @GSVNotInventedHere Wash your mouth out (metaphorically) and then listen to the tuss

  • @GSVNotInventedHere

If he made 5 albums like SAW 8592 we'd all be sick and tired. I love this album partially for it's uniquety, same reason I love Windowlicker and the Girl/Boy Song.

  • @GSVNotInventedHere rubbish? you mistake the artist and his passion

  • Perfect!

  • Way, way, way,Way, way, way,Way, way, way,Way, way, way ahead of any fu#cker out there...

  • The greatest track and the most amazing bass line.

  • The greatest ambient track of all time.

  • @scetNCify NO THATS 3# ON "SELECTED AMBIENT WORKS VO; II

  • Fkng great bass! I love Aphex Twin!!!

    DAMN!.

  • Someone doesn't read info aheavenscent

  • No he didn't, it was Aphex Twin.

  • cmon as if someone could make this... (except for aphex twin of course :)
