@ruthampton actually, this is really just an animated version of a skit from SCTV, which originally ended with 'This is for the birds.' 'No. They broke up years ago', which in turn was based of the A&C bit. However A&C did not originate the 'joke', the basic premise predates even them. Theirs is just the most well known version.

I remember seeing this in middle school. I'd never heard of "who's on first" or "The Who" at the time, but I caught on pretty fast. (They actually mentioned "The Who" earlier in the cartoon) Looking back, this gag still doesn't get old!

I actually had a moment like this in 8th grade with my friend. It only lasted for about 10 seconds before I remembered that there was actually a band called "the who", but it was still falking hilarious.
