This discussion strengthens the argument that every almost every Christian is tacitly supporting people like Harold Camping, and the faith healers who are ruining lives, and killing people, by agreeing with them that the rapture is a real thing that will someday happen, and that prayer actually works.
In a country that is 80% Christian what prosecutor is going to go after someone for saying they know the specific day of the rapture, or who vigorously proclaims you don't need medicine because prayer will heal you? If you call yourself a Christian you bare some of the burden for creating the atmosphere where such charlatans can legally con people.
AR's comment about belief being an 'act of will' for some classes of theists is a very helpful clarification for me. It explains a lot about not only the seeming irrationality of some believers but the passion with which they express it.
This clip reveals there is to be another hour of this show. Enough of this dispensing bits in condiment fashion. We want the whole sandwich, we want it now! Good show :)
@ofpfury When I want a whole sandwhich, I go to the New Yorker Delicatessen. They give you a 4 inch thick, 18" long sandwhich loaded with high quality meat, cheese and veggies for only around $5.50. It's a truely magical sandwhich to be honest. I can only eat half of one before being completely stuffed.
But the Magic Sandwhich Show is almost as awesome. I am subscribed afterall :)
It's a shame you guys cut away my comment from in between Part 5 and Part 6, because neither what PZ Myers talks about in the beginning of Part 6 nor what Steve Duggan talks about near minute 5 makes any sense without the context of my short comment. But ok, who care, it's only me. ;)
@MasauFuku If only I'd remember... I WAS talking about Jerry Coyne's "Why Evolution is ture" and Kenneth Millers "Just a Theory", but I seem to remember that it was a bit longer.
I can't believe something through an act of will and I am highly sceptical that anyone can.

@ofpfury The clips are probably for those who CAN'T watch the whole thing in one sitting, so having them broken into parts makes it easier for them.
