you guys need to take lessons, to even attempt to act like real musicians, this is beyond pathetic but you making fools of yourselves is kind of funny, but lame at the same time
Nicely done, especially the guy with the guitar. You ought to do it playing the music yourselves instead of syncing it. You look like you know what you are doing. This was one of my favorite songs from the 80's that kind of disappeared and I had a hard time finding it again. Forget anybody dissing you, they only do that because they can't do any better themselves.
You guys remind me so much of my dad (Steve Swaim) the drummer of The Clocks, I couldn't tell you how many times he would just sit around and playing his songs. He would love your video thank you so much for honoring his band. God Bless you I'm sure he is smiling down. Steve will always be missed but never forgotten. I love you dad Love Nicole Swaim
I have the single it's from 1982 and the band had a Tommy Tutone look to them. Great underrated song only plyed on MTV. I only heard a few times on L.A's KIQQ as a pick of the week.
Also....it was 1981. Not 84 or 85 or the late 80's. The two albums, Black Box and the untitled, unreleased second album were remastered and combined then released on disc in the 90's according to Jerry Sumner.
I too am from Wichita and knew them all very well. Sadly, the drummer, Steve Swaim passed away a couple of years ago. I just saw Jerry Sumner (bass & vocals) last year. He and Doug Adams from Sweetwater have been working with John Kay & Steppenwolf for the last 20 years. Jerry Graves and Lance are still in the Wichita area.
HELLO!?? Anybody??? I am determined to find my video, but it got eaten by the BetaScan Monster (thanx to Sony!) and I could use a better version or the MP3 tracked audio in stereo, if only.... ! Help me out
Actually released May of '82. The guys in this version are a little better looking than the original guys. Bill, I'll see what I can dig up. Mike S, I hope all is well, haven't seen you since the Port.
I have the actual promo video, but it's on ancient Betamax that suffered the garbled tape syndrome thanks to poor pinch roller/capston issues and a dying motor on our Sony. If nothing exists, I can try to upload that
I am actually from Wichita and knew the Clocks very well. I'm sure they would find this video very funny. They were a great band, talented musicians, and good people.
I was actually looking for the REAL band but this is quite the finest form of flattery! I was lucky enough to have seen them a couple of times and was a friend of guitarist Lance Threet's. Worked with him briefly a few years after the demise of the band. Very cool though, he had alot of stories about the band's success and failures that I really enjoyed him sharing with me.

I got the BlackBox reference when I Googled it, and it did look newer then the 80s

I hear Steppenwolf is calling it a day.
I love the better 1980s tracks, and Vice City (GTA) made the music memorable again.

I can't find the video just yet, I know I have it, but there's such a bad issue with the recording the sync will be sh*t!!

I WILL upload this if I ever find it, the video is quite amusing, more so then this. The lead singer reminded me of Peter Cetera IIRC
