If you think about it, that first picture tells you that she was pretty That picture must have been from the 70s. Very different from her 80s roles, but that's because she was already ridden with mouth and throat cancer. We all have to remember that she grew up in an era where smoking 10-20 packs of cigarettes was considered the norm and that's the reason why her voice sounded so harsh.

And heavy smoking really does alter women's voices a lot. In any case, she was absolutely priceless and I love her!

I love many movies with her. Oh God, only yesterday I watched Throw Momma from the Train (1987) -- she was funny in it and I can't say it without tears... a year later she died.

The Goonies is one of my favorite films of all times! Anne did an impeccable job! I know no other woman who could wear a string of cultured pearls and display a tattoo on her forearm, and look fantastic doing it! She was so funny and talented! We need more funny/talented artists like her.
