@emathed1 His stuff are serious. If you plan on dedicating yourself (ie: many years) it's worth the investment. While he explains it, it's still a lot of study on our part as students to figure out the nuances. He kinda explains it once and I still have to rewatch his explanation which are like seconds to minutes. And.. I don't think I'll be performing anytime soon :(.
@wbk360 Yeah, the performances are shown with a mirror behind his hands a few times, slowed down for some of the ones that can't be done slowly. Not "easy" to learn from, but the moves aren't easy at all. I find that the riffle stacking was surprisingly slow, then I remembered that being able to see the cards make distinguishing the number you are dropping much easier to note.
For the best controled false shuffling you should use Traditionally Cut cards like Richard Turner's Gold Seal 808 Rider back Bicycles and the new USPC 809 Bicycle Mandolin decks.
single handedly the best performance of skill with a deck of cards i've even seen - this guy is godlike and blind from birth - he's a real inspiration to watch - p.s understand wat was happening throughout the performance b4 the end - but that just made it more frekin unbelievable lol
yea cardshark 59 is really good. also i seen derren brown do some crazy stuff in a casino on his show 'mind control', but he doesnt really do that stuff any more
okay, he is LEGALLY blind, not blind-as=a-bat blind. HE can still see some stuff, not to take anything away from him, his skills are incredible. BUt he isnt steve forte
if you were to hold a card 3 inches away from his face he could not tell you what it is. his eye sight is much worse than it used to be. I saw him perform and lecture...he is probably tied with forte on card stuff. I think they each have their specialties. I've never seen better seconds that steve, but richards one handed strip out is unmatched
This is so fun to watch. I'm stunned that he can mix the cards up that much, and still control the deck. I've heard that Richard Turner was a super famous guy, an expert with cards and more. Now I believe!
is it worth buying the DvD? :P

Not blind from birth, he lost his sight at age 9, but I agree, the most skilled card mechanic to ever walk the earth.
