you could use a master ball to save yourself a lot of trouble.... you get a few throughout the game just save one for mewtwo since he is probably up there as one of the hardest, if not hardest pokemon in the game to catch... when i play i use NO$GBA and use codebreaker cheats to give myself some master balls and some rare candy, thats the only cheat i use because that way i can level all my pokemon up and have a better selection. i dont level them too high, i dont want it to be too easy now lol

Some of you may be wondering about the catch rate thing so let me clear this up. the deciding factors in wether you catch a pokemon are catch rate, maximum hp, current hp, and status ailment. the higher a catch rate the better. when the pokeball shakes, a random number is generated. if this number exceeds the catch rate (which is between 0 and 255) then capture fails. frz and slp double the catch rate, and the other 3 status ailments multiply the catch rate by 1.5. mewto has a catch rate of 3.

It IS possible to catch Mewtwo or Any Legendary with a PokeBall. If you're using an emulator In order not to waste many balls but use only 1 ball, do this:

At the point you're about to select a PokeBall, save a state.

Try to catch it. If it doesn't revert to save and repeat over and over.

It's really difficult to catch depending on the legendary but I managed to do it on Zapdos and Rayquaza with a Pokeball.

in sapphire version, i ALWAYS caught my legendary pokemon with pokeballs, sure, sometimes i took hours but being paid by my friends for them to have there most powerful pokemon in pokeball was awesome.

I've also accomplished nearly impossible goals such as this. Two instance in fact.

The first one was in Pokemon Ruby when I just threw a random ultra ball at the beginning of the match and somehow caught Rayquaza O.o

The 2nd one is when I was playing Pokemon Colosseum and ran out of everything but Net Balls... I caught Raikou with a Net Ball which is essentially catching it with a regular pokeball. Well... Raikou doesn't run away in Colosseum but it's still amazing how I did.

In R/B/Y, you should use your Masterball on Mewtwo. In FR/LG, save your Masterball for Suicune/Raikou/Entei because they roam and flee from battle the first chance they get.

Where you start at a region of your choice and make your way through the other regions and do all the events in those regions ( like fight team galactic and save the world from giratina,etc) I think you should be abull to catch every single pokémon ( even legendaries, I'm still waiting to catch mew)

In theory, I could prove it by taking a picture of its status screen, but as Master said, it needs super-low HP and usually SLEEP condition. That's how I caught mine.

(I'm a stickler for catching Legendaries with Pokeballs or Premier balls... Or maybe I'm OCD about it.)

Once you catch a Mewtwo, EV train him by only killing special attack monsters, If you do this then your Mewtwo at lvl 100 will have ALOT of special attack.

Mine has like 380 special attack without a special attack nature, with also adds alot.

Normally it takes 20+ ULTRA balls even with Mewtwo Sleep/Paralyzed with 1 HP. He used a regular poke ball which was insanely lucky.

all u have to do:

step 1:

defeat the elite four and champion Gary one time! (at least)

step 2: Get access to the sevii ilands and get the ruby and the sapphire for Cellio!

step 3: go to the cave and the guy guarding it will be gone! go to the last ladder and you dont need rock smash to get to him all you need is surf!
