Wow, you sound a little bit fussed. Why, are you jealous that someone with a more slight build can STILL dance like a man better than you can? And yes, Ivan Vasiliev will probably look a little more heroic than Daniil here because he's built like a train (not in a bad way, he's just massive all around). But that doesn't discount Daniil's incredible technique or presence, which is what I think really makes a principle.

I just saw Daniil perform this pas with ABT at the Kennedy Center in Washington (Feb. 19, 2009), two years after this video was made: What a difference two years make! The full splits coming out of the turns took my breath away. I hope there is a more recent video available! Daniil is a true artist.

You are a beautiful dancer for being so young. But I did take notes. Watch your arms; they tend to get limp sometimes. KEEP THE RIBCAGE CLOSED AT ALL TIMES! In your fouettes make sure to keep the leg a la second and at the same level the ENTIRE time, and be careful not to lift your shoulders in some of your stronger moves.
