OMG That must be SOOOO bad for you. To listen to that for 10 minutes ONCE A YEAR. Wow, tat must be VERY hard to bear. Seriously you can be doing other things than bitching about something so insignificant. I mean really? You even took your time to construct a video about some mild disturbance which only occurs once a year? What.. so you wait every year for this to happen to rant about it? Absolutely pathetic, in my opinion.
Overthrow the school? It happens at 11 on a workday. We are learning at school so we can get this thing called a job. If you are working so very hard. You shouldn't still be sleeping at 11:45. I'm having friggin' lunch BEFORE then.
Once a year. Not even 10 but 7 minutes. I don't know what your plan is here, post it YouTube, make it go viral, team up with all the hypocrites to overthh
lol when someone apologizes you're supposed to accept it first and make any points you have to make afterwards. Just shows how ill mannered singaporeans are once again.
This brings back wonderful memories of my last day of school at SAS. and you should already be awake at 11:45. stop complaining, the bus drivers are doing a nice thing for the students.
Move out of your house. You don't even know what is going on and you start accusing everyone. I had a neighbor under our apartment who complained about us "showering" at 11:00 pm. The sounds she heard were pipes running from the very top of our apartment to the bottom, so whenever someone showers on any floor, water runs down that pipe. Ten while we were all sleeping soundly, she dingdonged our house and started telling us not to shower at 11... Is my neighbor and you related?
I think dragon dances are noise pollution as well... and they typically last a long time and have no regard for anyone around them who doesn't want to hear them... should Singaporeans stop that tradition?
Americas are so selfish and stupid and spoiled who think they can do what ever they want and who also think they own everything and are doing the right thing. Stupid mother fucking bastard americans. Oh No. i forgot to cap the A in america. Take me to jail! :O
Look mate it's just the end of the school year when they do it and it's to celebrate a great year and to let the holidays start off with a blast I used to go to SAS and this was the only school that made well just made school in general fun. Don't ruin an amazing tradition
@somuchsolittleful you know what the funny thing is? you singaporeans copy americans in almost every single way possible. and yet you continue to criticize us.
@sk8ordie4yourlife How do you know whether I am Singaporean, American, or Indian? I will exercise my Free Speech and criticise Singapore, America, or India, so stay out of Singapore.
@somuchsolittleful hahahah the funny thing is that all the major corporations in singapore ARE american. without all our major corporations, you guys would have nothing
Seriously, stop fucking complaining. I am a Singapore citizen too and its fucking embarrassing. YOU are embarrassing. *facepalm* Its not like it happens everyday is it? So suck it up and get over it.
you are shite. get off of my school please. SAS is amazing...it is actually the biggest and best international school in THE WORLD. so umm...please can you stop being pretentious? it's a tradition at the school...so yeah. please go away...that would be much appreciated.thanks.
A lot of persnickety comments being made on here. Never seeing each other again for another 3 months 0_0 ? Good God, that is a long time. I didn't know the people on this island were devoid of phones and social media.
Haha, I used to go to SAS and I was there for 9 consecutive years and each year we had this tradition. Please, I doubt it was really 45 minutes. And even if it was, so what? You're one person and the school caters to hundreds of expats. No use complaining because a lot of the people who live in the area are a part of the school community.
So, just deal with it. Creating a youtube account to complain about SAS bus drivers is pretty pathetic. For a busy person, you're wasting a lot of time.
Inconsiderate?!?!?! Only HYPOCRITES complain about how INCONSIDERATE people are, and can't take FORTY-FIVE measly minutes out of your SLEEP once a YEAR, to acknowledge the TRADITION of seeing off over THREE HUNDRED students to their NEW LIFE...
"Inconsiderate" says the guy who sleeps until 11 on a workday.
We here at SAS have a little something called SAS PRIDE. And when you chose to live in Woodlands, you pretty much bought the noise. So shut up.
Look, I don't wanna be like everyone else and say how abnochus(sry for the bad spelling) everything is but I've only been here for a year but a lot of people i know at SAS make a VERY big deal out of this because it's important for the people leaving. Sure, it may make a big noise but i don't think you should cut to worse case scenario and say the drivers should be fired. The drivers of the bus company(yes, they don't ONLY work for SAS) have other jobs as well so you can't go and blame them...
I am a student of SAS and this is a tradition that occurs on the last day of school. It happens every year, only one day. I understand that it bothers your sleep, but this was an important school tradition that the happens for about 30 to 45 mins. Drivers beep to show that school is over and that summer has started. Students, such as I, think its a fun tradition to have around. SAS is a great school and I enjoy every bit of it. So stop bashing around just because of this event.
if you understood a how great of a school SAS is you won't complain like a little bitch that we have these traditions. it's only one day of the year it's not like its everyday...just let it slide...or just move...jesus...

@DAC0530 Did I say anything about SAS as a school? No. You are obviously still a young little brat, so why don't you grow up a little, get a job, slave for hours and then get rudely awakened by about 45 minutes of loud noise, and see how you like it? Furthermore, move? I am a citizen of this country, while SAS caters to expat students. You move.
@SASdriverssuck i'm not talking about the school i'm talking about the little traditions we have. if you have a problem take it up with the school. but one person being so crabby about such a tradition that happens 1 day of the year for not even CLOSE to 45 minutes of loud noise probably won't do much to get rid of this tradition we've had for WAY over 10 years. why complain now when it's been going on for so long? as for me moving, i don't have a problem with this, so there's no need.
@SASdriverssuck So...doing all this makes you better than " a young little brat"..how? No offense meant but shouldn't one so mature such as yourself be more tolerant? I was a student there for about 1.5 years and can safely say that all the honking, while maybe irritable, is actually a rather emotional tradition. The students usually do not see their teachers or their friends in school again for another 3 months. It's a form of farewell so... have a little sympathy, man!
@SASdriverssuck 45 Minutes? Stop lying. You ARE lying. The buses come at 3:00. It starts at 3. The buses leave at 3:20. 20 MINNUTES. NOT 45. At least if you're going to talk crap about the school and its tradition that happens once a year, don't lie about it to help your case.
And way to be immature about the citizen comment. If all expats were to move from this country your country would be in complete and utter crap. Expats keep the country going.
@SASdriverssuck If you don't know, I am a Singaporean through & through. I happen to realize that it's a tradition, and it is not blatant disregard: if this didn't happen every year, trust me - there would be louder din than this, for probably more than an hour long. SAS does not always just cater expat students, and it would cost much more than it would for you to. This seems to be an expat's neighborhood, and if you can't take it, MOVE. I heard there's an apartment in Ang Mo Kio. Try that. :)
I have been there 3 years in a row, it is a tradition on the last day of school, once a year - heart-wrenching to those who leave and will not see their friends again, maybe ever again... very emotional, and I have not had that touching experience anywhere else...
but it was never ever even close to 45 minutes, that is a blatant exaggeration!! Constant honking for 5 minutes may indeed seem to you like 45 minutes... I don't think it is even 10 minutes...

@sasandreasas Hmm, looking at the fact that I was rudely woken up at about 11 am (I was up all night working), & then only started recording near the end of the orchestra which ended at around 11:45 am, I hardly doubt that it lasted only 10 mins. The bare minimum was 30 mins.
Sure it's sad that the students might not be seeing their friends again, but what has that got to do with the bus drivers? Bottom line is it's inconsiderate (as you had conceded), and bloody annoying.

1. get earplugs. not that hard to do.
2. go to a mall or somewhere else to get away from the noise. no one's forcing you to stay at home when they're honking.
