Went to Kings Island this week and found that they replaced the Hannah Barbera theme in 2010 of course i havent been to the park since 1976 so what was I to expect at least my 3 kids had a great time there and the water park add on was great
Ah I hearken back to the days when I couldn't get near the TV on Saturday mornings because all my housemates were crowded around it to watch HB cartoons.
What a great tribute. How can any kid growing up in the 60"s / early 70's have not have heard of these 2 Gentlemen? I think they may have owned the airways on Sat. mornings. Again, Thank-You kindly.
This is so wonderful. Like so many people I too agree that the cartoons of today cannot hold a candle to gems like these. Hanna & Barbera were simply the best. They provide me with my fondest childhood memories. God bless them both.
If you were to mention ALL of the cartoons these super creative talents made, you would need about ten minutes worth of songs to do it! They were responsible for most of the Saturday Morning shows in the 60's and 70's when they used to have REAL cartoons!!!!
I have to agree... a long time ago, we had a childhood, we used do have cartoons, toys, and everything. So sad we don't have that anymore. And worse... we have kids of 12 13 14, who should be playing with each other, but now and then theres on the news kids on those age getting pregnant, getting on the MSN "showing off" to everyone... so sad... and the society? Do nothing about it....
Wonderful tribute. Left out Jonny Quest--big omission. Does anyone know the the name of the show with the Genie (1.35)? What wonderful TV for kids. I'm fortunate to have been born in the early 60s.
Thank you very much for this - this was a moving tribute and brought back great memories. When I've tuned into Saturday morning cartoons lately I've been dismayed at how soulless they seem by comparison. Scooby-Doo forever - "Zoinks!"

so the poster it shows at the end, is that actually available and if so does anyone know where i could get one with or without autograph...doesnt matter...awesome tribute those guys would have loved it, god bless them for bringing us such great characters and stories.

Hanna Barbera produced most if not all of my favourite shows as a young kid.
Kids today need to be exposed to this sort of thing again.
In fact, if I ever have kids, that's exactly what I'm going to do.
Get all the old classic shows and expose them to it at a young age. Then gradually move them up to the good-quality stuff from later years.
No Disney channel for my kids.

I am really grateful for BOOMERANG. Not
only does it give me an opportunity to see
the old cartoons, but also my young nephews are able to see more than just the junk that permeates the TV. My only
complaint is that Warner stopped issuing
these shows on DVD. They brought it to
a halt after "Birdman/The Galaxy Trio."
Maybe they'll start again.
