  • I just had a flashback of my entire childhood!!!

  • thanx for the trip

  • It's not a woman.. It's two guys.. gosh, you couldn't even see the goddamn video?

  • Momentos de mi infancia que jamas volveran a pasar, recuerdos bonitos de cuando era un niño pequeño.

  • nice cartoons, greetings from Romania

  • Hanna Barbera produced most if not all of my favourite shows as a young kid.

Kids today need to be exposed to this sort of thing again.

In fact, if I ever have kids, that's exactly what I'm going to do.

Get all the old classic shows and expose them to it at a young age. Then gradually move them up to the good-quality stuff from later years.

No Disney channel for my kids.

  • Girl i love you for this <3

  • esses dois foram grandes artistas ..fizeram desenhos que fazem parte da minha infancia. very good

  • 0:16 The THing that made her famous and is still going...

    <3 Scooby Doo

  • @DeepDoggie

It's not "her", It's them. Hanna and Barbera were their last names, they were both guys.

  • love these cartoons they kickass

  • Went to Kings Island this week and found that they replaced the Hannah Barbera theme in 2010 of course i havent been to the park since 1976 so what was I to expect at least my 3 kids had a great time there and the water park add on was great

  • Can`t believe a woman drawed all this by herself..

  • @TT202020 You have my pity.

  • @TT202020 oh my god? dude are you blonde?

  • Simplesmente incrível e inesquecível

  • This was great.

  • Ah I hearken back to the days when I couldn't get near the TV on Saturday mornings because all my housemates were crowded around it to watch HB cartoons.

  • 1:06 Iron Giant?

  • @mariobrosfan1995 No. It's called "Frankenstein Jr."

  • @DreamDancer82 No it just reminded me of the movie Iron Giant.

  • @mariobrosfan1995 You should've made your comment a little more specific if that's the case.

  • What a great tribute. How can any kid growing up in the 60"s / early 70's have not have heard of these 2 Gentlemen? I think they may have owned the airways on Sat. mornings. Again, Thank-You kindly.

  • So beautiful. :')

  • outstanding,thanks for posting,so many childhood memories

  • muito bom.............. desenhos que hoje já estão esquecidos e sendo trocados por besteiras como BAKUGAN...

  • I miss my childhood. So so much.

  • @Spideymania me too :(

  • They were the greatest cartoonists of all time R.I.P

  • Beautiful video, I've done mourn. Thanks for making me remember beautiful moments in a few seconds.

  • Moments like this made all the diference , :)

    Tks

  • This is so wonderful. Like so many people I too agree that the cartoons of today cannot hold a candle to gems like these. Hanna & Barbera were simply the best. They provide me with my fondest childhood memories. God bless them both.

  • They built our childhood, a big hand to Hanna-Barbera, may they rest in peace

  • this is great! perfect song! They were and still are the greatest cartoonists!

  • whats the cartoon at 0:45 name again ? pls for the love of god tell me :3

  • @k3vinrock "Dastardly and Muttley in Their Flying Machines". Dick Dastardly and Muttley were the bumbling villains first introduced in "Wacky Races".

  • Does anyone have the video of CN doing a tribute to one of the owners of Hannah Barbera?

  • If you were to mention ALL of the cartoons these super creative talents made, you would need about ten minutes worth of songs to do it! They were responsible for most of the Saturday Morning shows in the 60's and 70's when they used to have REAL cartoons!!!!

  • @funboy197 HB produced the cartoon. I'm leaving them in. Deal with it.

  • >i gotta warmth from that...THANKS.

  • what song is this?

  • @499gabe "What a Wonderful World" by Louis Armstrong. Seriously, it says so right there in the video!

  • I cant believe there are people who think Hanna-Barbera is a woman. It's TWO GUYS

    William Hanna Joe Barbera. r.

  • @sevyyves937 I gotta tell you, people who think Hanna-Barbera is a woman drive me out of my mind!

  • I have to agree... a long time ago, we had a childhood, we used do have cartoons, toys, and everything. So sad we don't have that anymore. And worse... we have kids of 12 13 14, who should be playing with each other, but now and then theres on the news kids on those age getting pregnant, getting on the MSN "showing off" to everyone... so sad... and the society? Do nothing about it....

  • @NISHIDAEASSOCIADOS Amen to that.

  • AWESOME!!! Hanna-Barbera F**KING RULED!!! EXCELLENT tribute!! Well done. RIP Hanna-Barbera, and thank you.

  • killed by dumb parent groups and the stupid E/I requirment. I remember watching that stuff in the late 1970s early 1980s

  • Wonderful tribute. Left out Jonny Quest--big omission. Does anyone know the the name of the show with the Genie (1.35)? What wonderful TV for kids. I'm fortunate to have been born in the early 60s.

  • @DandAinTac Shazzan was the name of the Genie.

  • Thank you very much for this - this was a moving tribute and brought back great memories. When I've tuned into Saturday morning cartoons lately I've been dismayed at how soulless they seem by comparison. Scooby-Doo forever - "Zoinks!"

  • this makes me want to cry... :(

  • @Mariajane123 I think you're a little mixed up. The other girl was named Daphne, and the brunette with the glasses is Velma.

  • I went to a animation amp. and the teacher showed everyone this for the great animations by hanna barbea

  • Who is that squid?

  • @ioFilip Squiddly Diddly

  • Nice :-)

  • Can't find Loopy De Loop in the family portrait. HB's last theatrical cartoon--49 episodes. Otherwise a fine tribute to the kings of Saturday morning television.

  • Who's the blue dog called?

  • @otpastiwi Huckleberry Hound

  • There's some serious nostalgia in my head

  • HANNA BARBERA BETTER THAN WALT DISNEY ,WARNER. I love so much!

  • That was awesome! So many great memories came back to me. Or might have been the song....

  • its up to us to make sure their work stands the test of time. lets promote, lets teach the young, the way cartoons were meant to be. theres 3 top dogs that will always stay #1.

disney, warner bros, & hanna barbera..(will nobody EVER beat them at cartooning) this cartoons will pass on from gen to gen cause they ARE excellent..

Wacky races my #1 of all time.

  • wonderful

  • Love those bongo drum take-offs

  • @IanHunedoara8 Me too.

  • good days

  • OK now this brings tears to my eyes. Cartoons corny as hell now. Ex Sponge Bob, Family Guy, and American Dad.

  • @lizzylizardson That's "Ruff and Reddy," which was HB's first TV series (Ruff is the cat, and Reddy is the dog, for those who don't know)

  • dude, i like the fact that you love so much these cartoons and made this tribute, these cartoons where every child's life, some can be found on the Boomerang channel, but they are just a few of all the greatest that where back then thx for making this video :)

  • @devimon4ever thanks and I'm glad you enjoyed the video, but just for the record, I'm a "dudette" (sorry, I'm just not too crazy being called "dude")

  • Some classics but also some very cheesy cartoons.

  • thanx man

  • Tom and Jerry from Hanna Barbera? I thought they were from MGM?

  • @MichaelCapelle They are, but they were created by Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera when they were working at MGM.

  • These were great! I remember all of these as a kid. Todays cartoons for the majority are such crap. What's with that? Fortunately most of these are out on DVD.

  • "This video is a moving tribute to the men who made Saturday mornings so cool. RIP William Hanna and Joseph Barbera."

  • Cartoon Network Died after they removed those Hanna Barbera Shows....Those shows give all of us who were once kids watching Cartoons so much memories T_T

  • GOD BLESS THEM!!!!!!!!!!!

HB´`S CARTOONS WAS MY FAVORITES THAN TODAY.........

SPACE GHOST, GALAXY TRIO AND ANOTHERS!!!

    THANX SO VERY VERY MUCH

    FROM ARGENTINA WITH LOVE

  • RIP i miss those days :( when cartoons where good :(

  • when cartoons were amazing!! cartoons now suck.

  • @altcastguy To be honest, the majority of HB cartoons were unwatchable. It wasn't till the late 80s/early 90s that cartoons really began to reclaim the theatrical quality they had in the 40s and 50s.

  • who was that gorilla called

  • @astanger1 Magilla Gorilla

  • What cartoon was the shark in

  • @rockharder22 "Jabberjaw" (which was also the name of the shark)

  • I almost cried watching this...

  • 0:45 what cartoon is hat. i watcghed it as a child.

  • @odcinkibajek Dastardly and Muttley and Their Flying Machines

  • Cant believe how much I have grown up...miss my childhood...:(

  • @LuckyNomi me to mate,,,,from,mick,AUSTRALIA

  • These are "Treasures" from the animation. They won't be forgotten.

RIP Joe Barbera & William Hanna...

  • I miss Saturday mornings when I used to watch HB cartoons

  • 0:22 Peyo

  • Thanks H & B for helping make a happy childhood

  • It was an impossible world!! boy they flooded the industry, during the 60's & 70"s with cartoons galore! very nice post

  • I hope you don't laugh, but for about 10 years I always thought Hanna-Barbera was one person. >>

  • very nice

  • Very well chosen song to this great tribute. Thanks for posting!!

  • They dont make shows like this any more for kids.

  • teenagezombie that was called the Banana SPlitz. It was a live action show.

  • HANNA BARBERA RULES !!!!!! thanks man

  • hmmm what was the name of the blue dog at 0:26 .. I remember there was an animated movie made with him too .. a very good one from what I remember with the wild west

  • @dawsonoo7 Huckleberry Hound. The TV movie was called "The Good, the Bad, and Huckleberry Hound."

  • @DreamDancer82 ahh thanks !

  • Good work

  • WHATS THAT CARTOON AT 15 SECONDS ?!

  • @teenagezombie101 Banana Splits

  • Hong Kong Phooey was awesome

Dick Dastardly and Muttley also appeared in "Wacky Races."

  • @DreamDancer82

Tnx a lot, watched it when I was a kid :)

  • so the poster it shows at the end, is that actually available and if so does anyone know where i could get one with or without autograph...doesnt matter...awesome tribute those guys would have loved it, god bless them for bringing us such great characters and stories.

  • @MrCampbell80 That's actually an animation cell called "All Together Now." I'm not quite sure of the availability.

  • What is the name of the Show at 0:14-0.17?Thank You

  • @boojoo125 Banana Splits

  • @DreamDancer82 Thank you very much!!!

  • Nothing compares to HB cartoons...

  • The Smufs was from HB?!? I was sure those wasn't either made in USA!

And I have my own doubts about Tom and Jerry too (those are made in USA for sure, but I don't remember that cartoon was by HB).

  • @BETMARK The Smurfs characters weren't created by Hanna-Barbera, but the cartoon was produced by them.

As for Tom and Jerry, yes, Bill Hanna and Joe Barbera DID create them when they were working out of MGM before they started their own studio.

  • @DreamDancer82 :] thank you so much. I'm always happy to learn something new.

    (or 'old' in this case)

  • @DreamDancer82 The Smurfs (les Schtroumfs) are originally a series of Belgian comics.

  • @DreamDancer82

and it's a shame that hanna barbera and the smurfs creator all three of them passed on.

  • @jmjfanss Amen to that.

  • @DreamDancer82

and now they want to do a big screen version of the smurfs, it's gonna be a disgrace.

  • @jmjfanss what do you mean its a shame they passed on!! they were born 1910 and 1911 respectfully isnt that enough? i mean they lived great long lives nobody lives forever. it just shows that we humans are never thankful for the years that we are blessed with, we always want more.

  • Deja-vu of my childhood

  • estos eran verdaderos dibujos animados

  • Great memories here. HB did so many others too. Nice tribute.

  • Really beautiful DreamDancer. Thanks so much. Like yourself, I'm a huge fan too.

  • SNOOPER AND BLABBER!!!

  • king of cartoons!

  • Those were the days ...

  • good job DreamDancer82

  • Really beautiful tribute.

  • @RobinBuenchico Yes, that was an excellent tribute. Loved the end picture with all of the cartoon characters together. I saw some that I had forgotten about....shazam & secret squirrel.

  • Going back to the sixties, what is the cartoon where the character lived in the zoo but went on excursions? I've always remembered the song but can't remember the character. I thought it was Wally Gator, but don't think so now.

  • ..maybe Magilla Gorilla ?

  • There are only two cartoons that come to mind. One is Wally Gator, which was the 60's, and the other was "Help! It's the Hair Bear Bunch," but that one was in the 70's. Sounds like Wally Gator to me, though.

  • @JanetUSA Or it could have been The Hair Bear Bunch, from the 1970's, now that I think about it.

  • excelent video!! actually shed a tear for the memories it brings... GRAT JOB!!!

  • I am really grateful for BOOMERANG. Not

only does it give me an opportunity to see

the old cartoons, but also my young nephews are able to see more than just the junk that permeates the TV. My only

complaint is that Warner stopped issuing

these shows on DVD. They brought it to

a halt after "Birdman/The Galaxy Trio."

    Maybe they'll start again.

  • It was truly a beautiful tribute to them, I just loved all those cartoons when I was a kid and you picked just the right song to go with it, and my favourite cartoon was and has always been Shazzan

  • I barely remember some of them, so I just became acquainted with Frankenstein Jr. Doesn't Buzz Conroy remind one of Tom Swift?

  • Great tribute to some imaginative visionaries!

  • I've always loved how they drew their characters and animated.

  • Hanna & Barbara where two awesome and unique visionaries.

they created the most awesome cartoons and characters who already have their place in cartoon and film-making history.

    pure genious

  • fantastico ele era um genio, vc esta de parabens pelo video

  • wow she was really the highlights of the 80's and 90's

  • @fabioproductions hanna-barbera was two men who put their last names together (william hanna, and joseph barbera)im pretty sure that's their names not 100% though=p

  • FAIL

their names are in the end of the video lol

  • The best cartoons ever to be made!

  • i watch these cartoons daily. i miss the good old days of cartoons.

  • Great compilation!
