  • -flush.

Nah. He gets up. (potentially) wipes his ass, (if that). and walks off. I mean, even a dog will scrape the ground with its hind legs after poo-ing.

Not with this cave dwellers. You dont have to go get a pale of water from the nearest well. Or use a foot-pump. All you have to do is wave. So this tells be, it's not about lazyness. It really is about being civillized or not. A mental evolutionary state if you will.

  • We still are apes. Exmaple:

Go to any civillized building where there are bathrooms that has not just a flush handle, but a flush button. Even with those ones where you simply wave your hand over so you dont have to touch anything. I guarantee you there's always one cave man fuck out of five people in the building who doesnt flush after taking a piss or a dump. It's like this ape doesnt have the imagination. The stench of the shit doesnt bother him for the thoughts to inspire the idea to flush-

  • Faved, you achieved a great thing here...a civilized conversation.

  • @SASNIGHTCRAWLER

Why, because Greer apparently got funded by a Rockefeller?

  • @SASNIGHTCRAWLER

    Hehe, you wish.

  • Gary should have an interview with Project Camelot :) I suspect more sparks than with S. Greer :P

  • Awesome Discussion That Gary's Discussing**********

  • interestin' stuff ~ I kinda go forward to backwards ~ myself ~

  • The Dude in the black shirt reminds me of Sarah Palin..... MoRon.

  • cool.

  • We are still undergoing evolution now. Compare the hosts to Conan The Barbarian. Clearly something has changed. But seriously - Our brain has clearly out evolved the skull. Thats why the brain is rippled. Its trying to cram itself into this tiny skull. This may be a limiting factor in our continuing intelligence.

  • For the first 15 seconds, I nearly pissed myself.

  • That was a fantastic discussion. I really admire Gary's perseverance and the host's patience and effort to understand. I wonder what a Habermasian or Foucaudian analysis of the structuring of that discourse would conclude. Interesting how Gary's pessimism is so useful for acknowledging hopeful assumptions, but it also seems to shine when it is positively critiqued, forcing it to clarify it's surface shock. My nod to all involved, good blend of disagreement and civility.

  • I think this comment intuits what we are trying to do here, thanks for this feedback.

  • i wish i could give this comment 4552 thumbs up!

  • Atheism; Capitalism's bitch.

  • I can suggest you to watch this Film.

@ first you can see that not only Religion is used to make war and @ secound in the middle of the film you can see some other ideas. Have Fun

    watch?v=8RzR0wVyNsg

  • we haven't evolved much from apes,

it's a small period of time from apes to us

in the distance that could be pushed,

    tiny even.

  • Yet some of the changes and intentions are very large scale and... revolutionary. :) I'm not saying we're not stupid enough to destroy our environment.

  • Good to hear that Gary has ditched his own phantasmagory of inserting babies' and adults' brainstems into an unregulated super-matrix.

Firstly, this idea is irrelevant since, on some level, this has already taken place with the appearance of the masses, yet not without its myriad of crises.

Utopian is nice but not when it attempts to sideline the recurrence of problems with this projection of peace and muzzle the cries of today's sufferers, or, turn us all into institutionalized lotophagi.

  • hmm ok about biological function of Life...then i understood something wrong..sry...

So Life was an accident... and come from nothing.. just a bunch of Atoms, particle

and yea... I dont know... and the basic reason is to do?... i don`t know...Sex? =))

    The evolution of a Stone...hmmm

Just like the Universe... All born from Nothing in a fraction of a nanosecound...

    do you read Nietzsche? =)

Hmm ok I will think about it.

    bye

  • I subcribed yesterday, but I don't care what this pinhead has to say.

Are this kind of guests on every show?

  • Human intelligence is the selective awareness of our individual perspective.

Our spirit invests us with just enough consciousness to order our perception of the universe such that we can align with it's precepts and make our way through the "accidents" that are just the incidents of our passage.

The first step was to convert precepts to concepts. We are now trying to translate those concepts into realizations.

The easy part is knowing that we have needs. The hard part is knowing how to get them.

  • 'bacteria with brains'...err? is this a continuation of the 'Poop' union?

  • Can you guys get Joe The Plumber on here?

  • or why penguins remain a Liftime together?

  • *very*

and by the way the other scientist was Stephen Hawking

  • I can only just repeat what a yery intelligent Scientist once said. "We can think the Universe created Humans to understand itself"

Albert Einstein said... If Humans use 100% of their Brain, than they would consist only of Energy.

  • hmm so i reflected above some of your points. You ever had a Dog? If you let him allone he will cry...or be frustrated. Why do you think animals are just there to eat and shit? You don`t think they think a little bit more than just that? And Why you think the only reason of Life is to reproduce itself? If you go @ sleep tonight... just look inside you what you think? Or do you know what cancer is? Did you know that the human body have comparing gene to recognize Mutation?

  • Fucking retards.

  • If the capacity to design is not designed - which it obviously can't be, because that's paradox city! - then it's not a bad design any more than it's a good design.

  • Now this is one of the better videos I sow, becouse it is not just an mulish allegation about how stupid people are who belive in somthing else. It`s rather a philosophical discussion about your kind of thoughts an Ideas. Its nice. very good. 5 Points.

  • Most people love is not a rational thing and if its not rational the only thing that can be is something driven by the natural, animal, consuming and reproducing part of the human.

  • i like how hendrix comes in with the "there are many here among us who feel that life is but a joke"

but you and i have been through this

  • OK--We only use a fraction of what we have but we won't use more because we're limited by what we have.???? Never mind his self-serving rationales against love or any kind of positive movement of consciousness. It sounds like gary tries to find every way possible to avoid taking responsibility for himself and his actions. Then wonders why his detractors consider him paranoid....

  • He doesn't ask WHY 'that' design...that is his problem. We are smart enough to envision for ourselves something else, even if we are still too dumb to implement it. If he has lost (or never had) faith in something, it is the idea that we CAN surpass our expectations...

If I can draw a line in the sand and step over that division, that first step could be the first to a great change.

  • Gary is so calculatingly negative and I just find it uncontrollably funny. I agree with most of what he says, he just phrases things differently than I would.

  • "calculatingly negative"? I think you mean "calculating the negative". If he were a negative person I think he would have just give up by now.

  • what a nihilistic tool this fool, keep your optimism Matt and John.. like nietzsche and emerson's idealsim!

  • There is no nihilism in his philosophy. All he did here is describe the fact that we weren't designed intelligent forces. He at no point said that all value judgments are equal, or some other nihilistic garbage.

  • *by* intelligent forces, that is.

  • all he did was say all the biological functions of life... does he not recognize emotions as key to life more than mating lolll!!

  • Gary needs to seriously lay off eating Cheetos...

There is something funny beneath the surface of all of this, but I can't pin it.

  • the word love is just a way to glorify desire

    you damn parasite babies!

  • Grrrreat. If it isn't Captain Fvcktard himself, spreading his mindless philosophy. Ugh.

It's almost painful to watch Matt continually pwn Gary's face off with such cogent points.

    P.S. ARGUE TEH ARGUMENTS!!!1

  • awesome! can't wait for the rest.

  • i wonder what would of happened happened to gary if he read alan watts religiously

  • So. According to Gary everything is governed by desire... where is his desire to be happy? where is his desire to impregnate as many women as possible? where is his desire to care for his progeny?

it is as though he is completely beyond his philosophy. it is an elaborate ruse of a psychological defense mechanism

when he gets real enough to use I statements when describing how "sex" is between man and woman, then his intellect, humor, and creativity will be in harmony with his love imo and such

  • Listen to isforbliss on this. :)

  • Calling it "love" is just semantics, though. Love isn't magical; it's biological, so Inmendham's point still stands.

Cool idea though, and a civil discussion, at least so far. I'll make sure to check out the other parts when they're uploaded. Kudos to both sides.

  • are we semen antics?

  • I've been looking forward to this!

  • And I did.

  • OH man I cannot wait to watch this. Don't have time right now, but I'll get to it tonight.

  • I haven't even watched the video and I know I'm gonna like it.

  • i enjoyed that... 5*****

  • Phantasmagorical!!!!

  • Great conversation!

However, the dumbest thing said was by Mathfails buddy..."why can't it be love that motivates a man to blah blah blah"

i would agree with DoNotGod and expand by saying love is an evolutionary trait that got passed along because it was benificial to the goal...survival and reproduction. A man who cares for his family will protect them just as a mother who loves her child will give the child a beter chance of survival. that is why we love. not because it's spiritual

  • Reproduction and survival are not goals per se, but goal-like. Only at a certain level of cerebral complexity can one conceptualize what a goal is. I think of them as emergent systems, more precisely so. Formal operational logic often is conducive to small mistakes such as calling survival and reproduction GOALs. The following is a goal: I will write a short enough comment so that YouTube's system would accept it (see what I did with the use of the word system? if yes you are getting it).

  • first, you're right. I should not have used the word "goal".

the reason love actually gets passed on is:

those who survive, have children, and the children survive are the ones who pass on genes. so obviously genes that beniffit this process survive as well. for instance, a mother who doesnt love her baby will probably leave it or kill it. the mother's genes do not get passed on. that is how evolution works, traits/genes that benifit survival and reproduction get passed on.

  • As I expected, I was brilliant...A brilliant shade of orange.

  • Hi DoNotGod,

I like what you had to say. It sounded like you understood how evolution works much better than Mathfails and his friend.

By the way, what channels of yours can i sub to?

  • They're all posted on donotgod(dot)com, good stuff ^^

  • wow, I was expecting a fight or something. This was pretty damn good. I disagree with him on so many points, but 500 characters or less just doesn't cut it :)

great so far... thanks a lot guys.

  • coolness, the biggest partner yet

  • GARY WINS!!! hahah

the phantasmagorical blood bath is underway. lets get it ooon!

  • What kind of software/hardware do you use to show Inmendham on the TV screen?

  • Something orange...

  • "Something orange..."

I don't know much about tech. But my logxx v 10.0 tells me it must be webcams and USB cables, last but not least, computers to do the processing. Integral logixx forthe win.

  • I have no idea what software they use, but I'd like to know. Who knows maybe other people make other holons networks or somthn.

  • iChat running fullscreen with video out from the MacBook ??

  • Great Job Guys
