First RZ remake was good, he made his version of Michael, but the Second took it too far and turned him into just plain wrong and against all Michael was.
i actually like the producers cut of halloween 6! it actually showed wat happen to jamie lloyd after halloween 5, cuz wen i first watch this n a woman wuz screaming i wuz like who is that screaming, then hearing donald vocie ovr then saw jamie lloyd and the man in black n i wuz like holy shit, the woman who had the baby wuz jamie. dang!!!! this also explain how all this actually started!
This was the last in the series for me personally. It was an epic way to finish the series, by telling you how Michael Myers' thirst for blood awoke, and it had Tommy Doyle in it for a start. Halloween H20 (sorry fans) felt to rushed and boring, didnt really have much suspense... and as for Resurection... well you dont have to be a rocket scientist to see the problem with that.
I hate how H20 has this neo-mythical status as the "comeback" that "saved the series." H20 was a hit because it was riding on Scream's coat-tails and everyone was jizzing themselves over Jamie Lee's return. It was better than H5, sure, but it just didn't have the atmosphere so vital to Halloween. For me, H20 felt like someone dropped Michael into a rejected Scream script; they even replaced most of the score with Scream's music, for Pete's sake!
@JamesPolymer H20 was a good movie that in my opinion didn't save the series-it screwed it over. It paved the way for Halloween: Resurrection, which was such demon piss garbage that they just said "fuck it" and gave Rob Zombie the greenlight to do the reboots.
Now, Halloween 6, I consider a tragedy. The idea to that movie was so effin great but they had to warp it into something else. They should have let Daniel Farrands do what he intended to do with it. I still like it, though.
Do you mean the H6 theatrical release? Because there's a Producer's Cut of the film before they reshot it with the "scientific cloning" crap-it's supposed to be much better, though I've never seen it in full.

@JamesPolymer I have not seen the producer's cut, although I've heard it's much better than the theatrical release. It still could have been better though. There's a interview with Daniel Farrands where he explains everything he wanted to do, and how they screwed it up. As for Resurrection, Michael is the only redeeming feature in it. And yes, lol, demon piss garbage was the only phrase I could think up to describe that movie.

I don't even dislike it because it ignored 4-6 and ignored thorn, I dislike it because it was boring, flat, styless, shitty music, no lighting, no atmosphere, no scares, no suspense, NOTHING. Just another Scream clone that also felt like a lifetime original movie. H20 is ridiculously overrated. Parts 2,3,4,6 (both cuts) while nothing on the original are at least fun stylish sequels.
I'm just disappointed a lot of the cast (e.g. Paul Rudd) have sworn the franchise off; it would be awesome to see a *proper* H20 finishing the Thorn storyline...
There was a fan film around 2008 that included 4-6 in the continuity, though; it's called "H30" if you're interested.
