I didn't realise that's how you used it, I just used the pen, then clicked the paint brush thing and went round it, this has made things so much easier XD

What do you do when you have the shape? when your doing the lines i don't really undertand it im a beginer of photoshop

Hey I'm not sure if you will reply to this, but I've been having problems with my pen tool.

I do everything right but when I right clink to stroke the path I can't click on it, I can only make it a selection.

is there something i need to do to be able to do to make the pen tool stroke the path?

@FreezingNightmare I think you have the wrong type of Pen tool once you select the pen tool, at the top of the program you can see File then Edit etc... Just unner that should be a new section with some options for the Pen Tool, yours may be on the first option (Shape) or the 2nd (Path) i used Path in the video path allows you to create a selection and then right click that static selection and choose to fill it with a colour etc... hope thats helps.

to get rid of the selection right click and delete path if you want to get rid of it but if you dont and you want to select it then right click while the your still using PEN TOOL then click make selection im not really sure what you mean tbh sorry

thank you, can you make another one of these with other tools? like say: make a vid of the tools you would use to color, a bird mabye. and show us what tools do which for coloring said birdy.

Ok recorded this without showing the who program, when you select the pen tool just under the file,edit etc... there should be a few little symbols if should be clicked on the first (which is solid colour) if you click the 2nd (selection only) so it will make a selection.

Sorry its a tad harder to explain and tbf i should of showed the whole program but i do now plus they now will be in HD :)

This is great, but it would be more helpful, I think, if we could see your entire screen so we could view all of the menus and options you're going through as you're doing it. Just a thought.

2:30 how can the layer be seen what did you do?

Ok what you do is in the Layers you will have 2 layers (1 is the image ) you need to create a new layer ABOVE the image for this to work so its ahead of the image.

what i did was create a new layer but it was BEHIND the image layer and wouldnt show up what i did to correct this was drag the layer ABOVE the image one. hope this helps
